Excellent report Apthhh...thanks for that. Hope he'll do one every week as we need a timely review by a Hull fan. Bit harsh on Graham at the end though as I think he had his best game for City. With Gedo fit and Sagbo back we should have more support for Aluko though. He is brilliant. We look good defensively and in mid-field. Just need a cutting edge up front.

Firstly, thanks for the many excellent articles you have posted on this board. They have been informative, accurate and have given us an insight which we otherwise would not of had.

Secondly, may I ask for your opinion of what would happen to our Egyptian support when.......

    a) The Egyptian born owner leaves the club

    b) The Egyptian players leave the club.

Do you think there will be any residual effect? Do you think some of the Egyptian support will keep an affinity with the mighty tigers on a long term basis? Or is it more likely they would turn their attention to other teams that have Egyptian players?

Also would it be possible to hear an Egyptian fans view point on the name change/rebranding that is being proposed by our owner?

    Ta.

Thanks for the kind words guys. We will have weekly match reports on the site, so keep an eye out for them!

Regarding your questions Boothferry, for one I began supporting Hull after the Allams came in. It wasn't about the players for me, it was more about their ambition. Of course, for the majority of Egyptians, the players are what earned their support. Now for sure if both the owners and players leave, there will be a number of Egyptians who will lose interest, but if we look at the case of Tottenham (when Mido & Hossam Ghaly joined) Egyptians became instant fans and a large number still support the club today because of them.

Thanks for that Apthh, glad to hear that some level of interest would be maintained.

Apthh, apologies if you've had this question before, but can you see "Hull Tigers" having any effect on our support in Egypt? Be it positive or negative.

No, doesn't effect the support at all. Many Egyptians realize it wasn't the best idea by the Allams but the slight change doesn't really have an impact on us.
Guess it's more of an issue for those who've followed the club from the beginning.

    Appth.

Do you think there is a market in Egypt for overpriced tacky official merchandise?

Unfortunately, probably not, Egyptians tend to bootleg everything and make replicas for 1/5th the original price.
