Probably slightly better attacking quality than in our last couple of games, but still not good enough. Wanyama has been poor in possession. Osvaldo and the centre backs have done well.

I think it needs to be Gaston on. Would take either Jay or Lallana off.

It's pretty even, we've had the better of what chances there have been, particularly Osvaldo who should have scored. Other than that he's done pretty well, some nice touches. Wanyama has been surprisingly poor. Schneiderlin lucky not to be booked for catching Diamé. Other than that not too much to report.

We've struggled to get the attackers involved really, sounds very adventurous but maybe Ramirez on for Wanyama?

As has been said, bitty, scratchy game, but then it was always destined to be so against West Ham. I'm bothered by the fact that every time Big Vic gets the ball, he looks pretty likely to lose it, either in possession or with a poor pass. J-Rod not on it today, so would suspect that as the first sub......

I'm really not convinced of the wisdom of using Wanyama as the deeper-lying of the two central mids. Schneiderlin is the more composed of the two and his positioning is better, while Wanyama has the burst to play box-to-box and a good shot on him. Playing Wanyama in the deeper role means that there are more situations where getting caught in possession could be catastrophic, and he's getting caught in possession rather frequently today.

Gaston was pretty decent against these last season. Gaston for Jay, in my opinion.

Have to say, having read one or two words on Wanyama, they have backed up my feeling about him today. He's not very mobile, gets caught on the ball and his passing isn't the best. Sadly, no Jack Cork on the bench to push him along.

This is pretty poor again, Wanyama has looked like complacent. No fluidity in attack whatsoever.

Schneiderlin passing accuracy 72%, not good enough.

I think we have looked good in parts even rodriguez who has been slightly off put it on a platter for osvaldo who apart from that miss has looked very good.

Wanyama has been terrible with the ball and the inability to pass the ball out from the back has limited the number of attacks we have had. Although when we've got it down there we've looked decent. Lambert and Osvaldo haven't got in each others way which is great to see.

I would get Gaston in the rodriguez role asap, not that rodriguez has been shocking but he could have done a lot better on several occasions. Wouldn't mind bringing cork, davis or jwp on for wanyama, its pretty stupid not having cork on the bench and other latter 2 aren't big enough to play cdm against west ham.

Just seen a comment saying our defensive six don't seem to be linking with the front four, who are drifting about.

Schneiderlin has been woeful by his standards. Bring Gaston on. Cork would probably be my next choice if he was on the bench.

Not quite sure what Le Tissier is on about. I don't think Osvaldo was bad with that finish, and he didn't cost £17m either.

Wanyama the new Gaston? People love to moan about players adapting to the English game.

Morgan could and should have been sent off for me.

Rodriguez did put it on a plate for Osvaldo, which is better than anyone else has managed!

Not for me. It should have been a yellow card. Got the ball first and only caught Diamé accidentally with one foot.

Yes that was odd, particularly as he *was* trying to put it back that way across the keeper! You could see how disappointed he was not to finish that, so I don't think anyone will need to tell him!

It's a yellow at the very least, and I'd have struggled to muster a complaint had he been sent off.

Not for me - he's had two excellent games and one and a half poor ones. It is okay to point out (on here) when it's one of the lesser ones though, and today would thus far seem to be so.
