Lads and lasses, make sure you check in early on Monday evening as I have a little beauty lined up for Tuesday! Before that however I am sure you all know that I like a little Sunday punt! Tomorrows little gem is running in the 5.35 at Ffos Las in the form of FICELLE 12-1. A mini gamble has begun already and I am not surprised, dropped 4lbs for finishing third last time but more importantly the blinkers are now applied. The 5lb claimer has ridden her a couple of times and his claim sees her carrying a mere 8st 4lb. If she cant at least run a place I will be gobsmacked!
I think it's possible to make the case that this is the best day of flat racing in Europe all season. Proper days racing in Ireland tomorrow. There's also a meeting in Wales and England and France (tremendous card). Irish Leger - Pale Mimosa was good the last day and looked made for this race. 5/1. National Stakes - Toorman beat today's Group 2 winner LTO so he's got decent prospects of landing this and I think he'll prevail. 2/1 Prix Niel - Flintshire is very good. So is Ruler of the World. Ocovango is decent. This is the race of the day for my pennies and I like the favourite to win on the way to the Arc. ATR tissue says 11/8. That's a good price. Prix Moulin - Olympic Glory is tissue 9/4. That's the bet of the day if the price materialises.
Flintshire 7/4 with StanJames Bob. Looks a ridiculous price given he is currently favourite with a lot of firms for the Arc!
Morning all crap 10p betting again today no value anywhere and Stick cheers for putting that up I have just spent an hour on that race and came up with a different conclusion ! Back to the race again I think see what I have missed.
Perhaps the worst-named horse EVER goes in the opener at Listowel today - Lol Jk. I wonder how good old Dessie will pronounce this text speak abomination? Later in the day, Barry Geraghty has a great chance of landing the big handicap chase on Edward O'Grady's The Real Article. A mark of 132 looks fair and the going should be much more to his liking than when last tried in open handicap company (off 137 at Punchestown on heavy when PU). Lovely to see old boy Kasbah Bliss turning out in the Prix Gladiateur at Longchamp, although I suspect the younger challengers will have too much for him, and I like Domeside at a price. The Niel should go the way of Flintshire but we'd all look a bit daft if the Epsom Derby winner went in at 5/1. Best of luck to those having a punt.

hi people--think the going in the south west of uk is going to be soft/heavy--so caution is advised--perhaps some of the mud lovers will shine--Croeso Mawr is way too big at 16/1 --its possible the trip will stretch her, but otherwise has a lot in favour--ground/ time of year/stable frorm-- i like Belgian Bill over in germany--george baker is in blinding form--this animal is tough !
rudey, the last time BELGIAN BILL met BRONZE PRINCE the Attwater horse gave him a proper beating. Admittedly that was on the AW but at the current odds of 4-1 and 16-1 I know which one I would rather be on! Very significant in my view that Mikey has persuaded Seb Sanders to go for the ride. The horse goes especially well for him!
EW Lucky 15: 2:10 Bath - Dandeena 6/1 3:00 Listowel - Jan Van Eyck 6/1 5:05 Ffos Las - James Pollard 15/2 5:35 Ffos Las - Ficelle 13/2 (cheers Stick)
As Bostonbob says, it is a great days racing in Europe, and I'll be going to Wales for my selection today! 17:35 Ffos Las - Coalburn e/w. (Another one from soft-ground sire Captain Rio, this time a gelding. Has raced mostly on G/F ground, and might do a heck of a lot better first time on today's softer surface with rain expected in the Ffos Las area this afternoon. Speculative wager for sure, but I'll be taking the 14/1 BOG (currently freely available) e/w. Carries bottom weight and ridden by the useful young jockey Simon Pearce (claims 3lb). Trainer Gary Harrison is making the 239-mile trip from Newmarket with his charge; maybe sharing a waggon with Michael Bell or Rae Guest? ). GL all!
indeed he did stick-- but turf is a different test-BB is entitled to be shortish price--and Bronze Prince is seemingly too big, but his yard have been quite for a while...so its another factor that you have to factor--there is good prize money on offer in the continental races--makes economic sense....
Surely the Flintshire/Treve/Orfevre (9/1 on Betdaq multiples) treble and Ruler Of The World/Treve/Orfevre (28/1 with the same firm) trebles are the two variations to follow today? Orfevre's trial is a weak one in terms of opposition, Treve is one of the Arc favs yet is 6/4 to beat fillies (who are short of open Group 1 level, as seen by The Fugues demolition of Venus De Milo for example), and Flintshire is the best horse but worried about the ground, whereas Rule Of The World looks stamina laden and bred for it (Kingmambo on the dam side), so they are easily the two against the field. In terms of national hunt- a question for some of you enthusiasts -have there ever been any flat bred horses who have won a Supreme Novice? (more prominent in the AP market this year!)
TopClass: Howdy, hope you are well! Just a couple Supreme Novice winners, for a start, who could be classed as 'flat-bred'? 1990 Forest Sun (by Whistling Deer (9.1f av. winning dist. of progeny) ? 1997 Shadow Leader (by Tragic Role (9.2f) - damsire Tina's Pet (7.1f)) ? Maybe a few more but little time to look!
Afternoon all 2 I really liked the look of both outsiders have unfortunatly been withdrew so I'm going to have a patent small though with a couple of ews one is going against the good man stick but I couldn't change my mind I may regret it but I'm not here to take tips only to express my views so good luck stick I'm going for superior edge due a good run aswell and conditions wont bother. Also fatimas gift and space artist . Hopefully they should all go close your probrably all lucky because I took 66/1 on a donkey thismorning that could have gone either way but nr now so may have saved my blushes and whoever chances money . Good luck as always
