The beast that is Football. The recent world record transfer of Bale from Tottenham Hotspur F.C. to Real Madrid underlies the ever growing Chasm between “Footy” and real life. £85m for paid for a young Welshman from a leafy suburb of Cardiff whilst the world ponders military action within the continuing strife of the Middle East. This compounded by the victims of the New Orleans hurricane still now after many years impoverished, lost and abandoned. At home the country is almost at it knees by economic policies endured on it by an inept and out of touch coalition government. That coupled with an ineffective and unworkable Universal benefit that will only serve to widen social despair, and with the prospect of an overpriced rail link that no-0ne wants and will take 20 years to build, eventually exceeding the £ forecast by £B’s. A world that finds solace in lining the pockets of fat cats who have never once stood on a cold & wind swept football terrace, the same fat cats that only “Tables” of interest are the financial reports bantered around the pristine Penthouse office tables, or the poolside lounger of their Caribbean Beachside Villa. Football sold its soul many a year ago and the fat cats of it feed off the fabric of a decaying society force fed an ideal world, a world of greed disguised as material wealth, a world of consumerism, fake world designed by Reality T.V. and daytime television. Soaps are not real they’re as fake as the FAT CATS and the Corporate world that dictate to you what you should eat, wear, listen to or watch! £85m for Bale = paid back in 6 months of merchandising! By gullible bullshit fed punters! ...... **** I'm off for a pint!
Interesting. To be deemed world class you have to prove yourself in the premier league. First I've heard of it but someone better tell Messi and his palls to get their arses over here sharpish.
Talking of which. City, eh? Bankers for the league because they have all the best players. Bet that Navas is homesick already after his one good game. Great bunch of signings though.
Can't see past City this season. Their ability to get the same number of points as us from a massively easier set of fixtures is undeniable. Watch the ****s tonk us next weekend tho'...
This Pellegrini fella seems a little perturbed that lesser teams put in effort against them doesn't he? It always baffled me that him moving to an entirely different country and football culture was not seen in any way as a problem for him by many a so called expert. No, City have the best players, which they proved beyond doubt last season of course, so they are red hot favourites to win the league.
Phew. Thanks for the reassurance matth. Can I quote you on that? Does show the double standards of the media and the experts. Moyes fails to win a trophy in a decade at Everton and that shows he'll struggle at Utd. Pellegrini fails to win a trophy in a decade at Villareal, Real Madrid and Malaga with an infinite budget and that shows he's guaranteed to bring success to City. Sometimes the mind truly boggles...
I'd say yes, though ruff would cancel at the last minute. We are meant to be playing this Tuesday. Sure I'm going to beat him..
Ha Ha, there's a challenge right there. I now give you precisely zero chance of getting close to beating me. What format we playing? I assume we'll catch the game in that bar, looks like it'd show it to me.
We shall play stableford The bar in the club house? I've been told burghill is the course to play in Hereford. Have a look at it. I don't think we will get 18 in either unless you can get away a bit earlier. I reckon 3:30 at the latest to do 18.
Nah, we won't. Nights are drawing in so it'll have to be as many as possible. Good pub to watch would be the Barrels, got Butty Bach and Dorothy Goodbody on tap. Ten minute drive back into town though. Ok, Stableford it is. You off 28. STRICT rules of golf.
I will be off 26. That's the average of my last 4 rounds. Do you not reckon you could pull a sickie an so one a tad earlier?
