Pretty sure Man Utd aren't the only club Modric has been linked to http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/footba...ester-united-and-chelsea-with-spurs-quit-hint Pretty sure the likes of Gareth Bale are linked to clubs other than Man Utd, Man City for example. http://www.crunchsports.com/categor...e-40million-bid-for-Gareth-Bale-201106050017/ and even Juventus. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/may/31/football-transfer-rumours
It was obvious that journalist was asking a question about Ryan Giggs due to all the affair speculation. Sir Alex was rightly annoyed as most Managers would be as it would all have been a distraction prior to the Champions League Final that week.
I've made my point(s), I have no problem with Tottenham or Tottenham fans. Shall we just agree to disagree? No-one is going to change their minds after all.
Of course he was asking for that reason! He'd be a poor journalist if he just ignored the biggest celebrity story that week, wouldn't he? It's his job to ask questions like that. If Ferguson was annoyed about the kind of question, then he should've taken it out on Giggs. He caused it all by getting out the injunction or it would've all been forgotten about in a week.
The key word is persistently And besides, if the media hated Man Utd that much they wouldn't be linking any players with them
Man Utd are one of the biggest and most popular clubs so any story involving them is bound to sell papers. The media's aim is to make money for themselves, nothing else.
And one of the ways to do this is to build up a mutually beneficial relationship with the club, where you report certain things that they ask you to, in return for easy stories. You get two pieces with absolutely no work put in and they get media coverage and advance their own agenda. For example, you could write a piece about a prospective transfer, in return for a couple of human interest articles about current players. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ter-United-target-Tottenhams-Luka-Modric.html http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...United-came-calling--Im-ready-face-Barca.html http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Alex-inspired-swift-return-horror-injury.html http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/search.html?s=y&authornamef=Ian Ladyman Hypothetically, of course.
Mau u are debt, and have little transfer money to sign players from the quality section of the market. Hence the ronaldo money went to pay off the debt. Modric is a good player but not a marquee world class player, probably worth 25million. No disrespect but there's a huge difference between Man u and Tottenham comparing them is stupid, berbcrap was your best player a few seasons, left and joined a big club.....Man U, but hey it's no shame he's gone to a better place
It would be funny if it weren't for the fact this arse gets good money for writing ****e. Save yourself the boredom of the entire delusion and just go to the last paragraph..."like for like replacement"! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1394332/Joe-Cole-sign-Tottenham.html
You're right it's just ridiculous. Ronaldo came out himself and said he was a slave for having to stay at United, obviously he wanted to go to Madrid, but Madrid themselves never referred to Ronaldo as as slave.
When sad little men become tiresome, I add them to my ignore list. In other words, Jimbo, you've been wasting your time - but not mine... Murdoch/BskyB owned a 9.9% stake in the club from 1998-2003, predating their attempted takeover of the club.
The thing is this, I genuinely believe that with the right signings we genuinely have a squad good enough to finish above United next season. I'm sure that Moddy sees that. If we finish above any of last season's top 4, it will only increase the opportunities for our top players; there's no pressure on them. If Moddy goes to United, it's a completely different ethos, and I'm sure he'd hate it. He has said so many times that he is happy at Spurs; and who can doubt that, given that Harry has built everything around him! If he was at United, he'd have to put up with the likes of Rooney.
Thankfully the 25 man squad rule will put paid to the Man Utds and Chelseas trying to buy every top player and have a lot of them on the bench/never play so that they win the trophies by default every season
Man Utd couldn't afford him, even if he were for sale, Lidls. Why do you think the rumours are suggesting fees that even his agent has referred to as peanuts?
big johnny is 100 per cent wrong, maybe he's a wum not a spurs fan.Modric will not move this Summer,Maybe next if we don't finish top 4,but imo we will big johnny jog on
Anyone saying Spurs have a good chance of beating United in the table are dreaming, United are consistently good which is exactly what Spurs are not. Spurs need a few signings just to stay in the top 4 if you ask me, Lpool, City, United, Chelsea and maybe even Arsenal are all looking to buy players.
