That's according to Mark Halsey who has now retired, if true, i find it disgusting that a player would threaten to do that to a referee but its Chelsea we're talk about they have form when it comes to trhreatening referees, they're fans sent death threats to Andreas Frisk after they lost to Barcelona and to Tom ovrebo as well.
lol but I diddnt make the thread did I? most players are guilty of it, the pic posted is a good example, so it's a bit rich especially coming from a utd fan tbh, imo anyway
lol are you for real? "Chelsea are a disgrace blahblahblah " all teams do it, this thread is rediculous tbh, it's like a city fan posting a thread about how QPR's spending power Is ruining the game ffs *slaps forehead smily here *
Keane of course and it wouldn't be the 1st time either eh lol. show me proof of obi mikel threatening to break the ref's legs?... I'm sure I'll be waiting a while. dipperboy - fantastic .
Wrong, he never said I will break your gets, try again, Dipper child Obi did say it, Clatters heard him, thats good enough for me.
no he diddnt right you are..... he just actually did it instead. but just to hilight the stupidity of this let me get this straight....... you're speculating that Keane diddnt say it whilst at the same time speculating that obi mikel did say it. comical to say the least, bit like this thread alltogether really. dipper child - superb that one lol
Of course it's relevant sillybollox, it's a picture of some players intimidating a ref, the op seems outraged that a player would threaten a ref, I dont quite understand his outrage considering the pic I posted was from a time when utd players were getting a lot of media stick for intimidating referees. my point is that most players are guilty of intimidating the ref in some way. so it's pretty relevant I'd say.
Depends on where you draw the line. Most players are guilty of attempting to intimidate the ref during games to try and get a decision they want. But almost all players would not resort to making overt and direct threats to a ref once the game has finished. A bit like most players being willing to insult one another to try and wind each other up, but most players not being willing to bring race into those insults. I don't think anyone would try to use the fact that players call each other names to try and justify the use of a racist insult. Or, for that matter, threatening players. Your argument is essentially akin to saying it was fine for that bloke to threaten to kill Gerrard's kids on the grounds that Liverpool fans boo other players. It's on a completely different level.
