Bloody hell m8! I wouldn't want to sit next to you for a game. Both teams are adapting to the step up and both were unlucky to come away without 3 points. We had a decent penalty shout and you were unlucky with the off side goal. I am well pleased with a point. Overall I think Brucey will be the more disappointed he didn't get the full points quota.
Christ I dropped a hook for a carp and caught a shark. And yes we should be beating teams like ****ty long ball Cardiff at home, specially when a quarter of that transfer bill wasn't even in the squad. Unless you think we're going to survive by playing well and losing at the likes of Stamford Bridge, the Etihad etc... If we can't beat Cardiff, who the **** can we beat?
Yes? He is saying we are a better team than Cardiff, as Chelsea are a better team than Everton. Cardiff were the better team today, as was Everton. Can you read?
TBH, I thought Koren did well today, he wasn't running unless it was necessary which is what good players do, the only thing I thought he should have done better was when Elmo went down & got up & started chasing after the Cardiff player, he initially grabbed him, which was good, but then wandered off whilst Elmo seemed to have an argument with McKay, even when the ref called him over it was Huddlestone who went over & not Koren. Outside of that though he did alright, winning challenges when needed & putting the ball in too. I have to say that I have changed my opinion of Koren after today's game.
No i didn't I watched the full 90 mins on a stream. For an old **** you do come across as very immature and petty. Also you contradicted yourself. Just because we didn't take our chances doesn't mean we weren't the better team. You said it yourself, we could have been 3-0 up at half time, this for me is a clear indication that we were the superior team. Cardiff only got in the game for 15 mins after half-time and that in itself was to be expected when you go down 1-0 at the break. Just because it was a draw doesn't mean the performances were even. We should have won comfortably 2-0. They played like the old stoke city for 75 mins of the game.
The draw was a fair result overall. If we had more quality up front we could have won the game but as we don't we didn't deserve to. We put the ball in their box an awful lot but it kept dropping behind our man or to a defender for an easy clearance. Needed a bit of luck really. Graham was a bit isolated and Turner was just throwing him around like a rag doll. Pisses me off that centre-halves can do that yet when they get the slightest touch from an attacker it's a free kick. We don't use Aluko enough. I thought this last season too, for all his ability he's achieved nothing in four games. No goal, no assist, he created one chance for himself but fluffed it. He's obviously a good player but it comes to nothing all the time with him. Aluko is more entertaining but we look more like scoring just by pumping balls in the box through the likes of Elmo or Huddlestone. Cardiff looked a good, organised side but didn't offer much in attack so it's a bit annoying that the one time they did we couldn't deal with it. I didn't see their goal very well as it seemed to happen very quickly but I heard Elmo lost his man at the back post again? Hope not as that is becomingn a big weakness for us. Having scored first we should have been able to keep them out.
I would have felt sick if Cardiff had taken all 3 points today but a draw was well deserved, and no need to press the panic button yet... Even Man City and Chelsea found it difficult to pick up three points today. And...we got away with booing Frazier Campbell off the field of play without him sticking one on us.
From what i remember of the goal we were pulled all over. Whittinghm may have got in front of Elmo but when they rip us up like that the full back four were culpable. Interesting to watch it later. Skimming the previous pages bout time our resident ****** got banned again isnt it?
Their goal was slick, a great ball on the wing, one time cross which was very well hit to an open wittingham (elmo probably lost him) . it was all one touch football and just too quick for us to react. Sort of came out of nowhere.
Change the name Cardiff to Hull City in that last sentence and you have the statement that echoed through internet fan-sites every time we won in the EPL last time around. Maybe you can see how ironic that is, but I'm guessing not.
First time at the KC and really enjoyed today with everyone we talked to friendly. I thought that Hull made the better chances but our goal was the outstanding moment of quality in the game. From centre back to back of the net in 5 or 6 quality touches. Don't think I'll surprise any of you by saying you look like you badly need a striker. Graham isn't a scary player to see in the line up. I thought huddlestone looks a good bit of business for you guys. One question though, if we played like Stoke why did you keep giving it back to us as we had 54% possession according to the Sky sports app? I'll admit we got a bit direct at the end when Gestede came on.
Don't think you looked like Stoke - I thought you had too many players who were comfortable on the ball for that to be a realistic comparison. Yes we need a striker (and the lack thereof could be our undoing this season). I thought in the last 15 minutes we were a bit wary of over committing men forward - which was probably a result of the quality you displayed in the move for the equalizer. On the possession point I think quite a bit of that was the ball being passed around your back line and goalkeeper - especially 2nd half. Having said that I thought you did us a favour by taking Campbell off and putting Gestede on as the latter didn't seem to trouble our defence at all
I thought we just shaded it, and had the better chances. Last 20 minutes when Quinn came on I thought we looked the most threatening. Having said that a draw was probably a fair result. I thought Davies and Chester had good games as did Livermore and Koren, Hudd was OK, but was not as dominant as he should be. Aluko was MOM for me, and he is deceptively quick.
