It wasnt a sitter, not even close. They showed it on replay about 4 times. The ball jumped up before he striked it and it was knee high going away from goal when he hit it. That is not sitter. I know it is cool to call him **** constantly but lets be fair to the guy. That was a half chance, late in the game he created a chance and got a corner kick out of it. The header he could have done better with but at least he put it on goal. He did not play badly today.
Good result, but Graham needs to start taking his chances. I will start Sagbo and Aluko against Newcastle
I'd start Graham, bring Sagbo on, dropping Graham will just get rid of any confidence he has, do that & SB may as well send him back. I was disappointed that there wasn't even a striker on the bench today, I know that no one thinks they're PL quality but if we at least had an option it might have changed the game. Graham worked hard today & was unlucky a couple of times, in training they need to practice awkward chances.
4 points from 4 isnt terrible. If you think about it only 2 games did we have a realistic chance at winning and we won one and drew another. A win would have been nice but there are positives to take out of today.
Graham can't play against Newcastle, he's a Geordie so he won't score against his own team. On other matters, I think it's over now. If we can't even beat ****ty Cardiff at home we don't deserve to stay up... And won't.
naw.. it's when we lose against Slumberland, that's when we worry. Cardiff have got momentum on their side, with coming up with us
"he's a Geordie so he won't score against his own team." Is that how football works? It's quite straightforward isn't it. "If we can't even beat ****ty Cardiff at home.." The same Cardiff that beat Man City..The same Cardiff that finished above us last season.. The same Cardiff that have spent a fortune on players. Of course they must be ****ty and obviously we have a God-given right to beat them because we're...err...because we're Hull City??
Agreed. Difficult chance with the bad bounce. His best game for City. We were the better team. McGregor had nothing to do...just one defensive mistake let them in. Elmo has to do better covering back. Otherwise we'd have had 3 points and been in 9th place.
You didn't go, did you? We were a long way off being 'far better than Cardiff'. We could have been 3-0 up by half time, but we weren't, the draw was a fair result. We were better first half, we didn't take our chances, too many players had an off-day and it's definitely two points dropped.
Anyone who sits in e1 and e2 see that scummy Cardiff fan spitting at our fans.... Back on topic, I think we played very very well first half, second half not so great. Took us awhile to get going in the second half and it cost us dearly....
I was there and I don't think Cardiff offered much other than their goal. We were the better side for a majority of the match and we probably could have nicked it. But a draw is fair and I'm happy with it. For the amount of money they spent, they didn't look anything spectacular - that said, neither of us look like a promoted side; we've adapted very well.
We looked the better side but were unlucky that a few chances didn't drop in our favour I'd keep Graham for the next game - there is little to gain in dropping him - Sagbo is an excellent option off the bench. Quinniesta should start - he looked instrumental in everything when he came on, possibly at the expense of either Koren or Brady. The weeks travelling for some will have taken a toll A good point and 4 from 4 now - if we end on 38 points we'll be there or thereabouts
I thought Cardiff had the best chances or most clear cut I should say, but we had enough chances but lacked the bodies in the box, which will cost us if we don't do something about it. Aluko has to be further forward if the idea is to slide the ball through as Graham doesn't seem to have the pace to do that. I don't know about Sagbo's pace but if we can get crosses in next week then Graham needs to jump for them, if that doesn't work then sliding the ball through for Aluko or Sagbo or maybe Gedo, depends on his fitness/ permit issues. I assume though we will have at least 1 striker on the bench next week!
To be honest I think we need to consider changing formation to release Elmo so he can go forward and get crosses in. Rosenior needs to come in at right back so Elmo can play on the wing. When the Egyptian is crossing we look like scoring.
He really should of scored. I mean at this level one of those two at least needs to go in, other teams would of scored those i would of backed Campbell to have scored that. I would back nearly every other team in the division. Our issue yet again is not scoring, i don't think we created much today mind but when we did we didn't take it. Was an even game, and a draw was probably a fair result in the end as we weren't great, but neither where Cardiff. Both sides look like relegation candidates today. We played far better against Man City.
I didn't think we looked like relegation candidates at all.... they had two chances in the whole game, and they took one of them. We just lack a cutting edge at the moment, and a bit of luck.
