Akpom is physical and hard working, and a lot quicker than Giroud too.

 

Giroud is quite clearly a step up over Akpom who personally i think you and others are guilty of overrating.

 

He's quicker but Giroud is more physical, linked with team play, clinical, mature, settled and ultimately better. This isn't even up for debate

 

Just seen something interesting. Rambo has scored more goals than Ronaldo an Falcao this season so far.


Wonder if Real fancy a trade, Rambo for Ronaldo and Benzema? They're not shy about spending money on welshmen.

 

Seeing rumours that Santi is out for a month. Don't know if it's a joke or not.

 

Didn't Wenger pre-match say he was sick and that it was touch and go whether he would be included? Thats what the commentry where saying as well.

 

The rumours are saying that Wenger himself said Santi is out, i thought he'd picked up a knock, and it was Per and Ozil who were ill.

 

I didn't watch it through sky so i cant rewind and check But i'm pretty sure they where saying Cazorla was just unwell.

 

Any thoughts on the Ozil debut? I only watched the first goal, but his first touch was exquisite, one to bring the ball down, and the cross was immaculate.

 

Different class. His touch,movement and his passing is out of this world. Worth every penny. He drifts all over the place, and just opens up space for the other players. The likes of Ramsey and Wilshere should love playing alongside him.

 

Has Wenger even done a press conference after the game? Not a single quote from him so far.

 

I thought Ramsey outplayed him...

 

In the second half he faded, but that's understandable seeing as he was ill. In the first half he was different class.

 

Even without taking into consideration the fact he almost didn't play through illnes i thought he had a great debut. His touch and pass to get the assist on the first goal where great and then he created several more chances and could have had another 3-4 assists in the first half. In the second half he was involved in the third goal, playing the ball through to Giroud to play on to Ramsey.

I was pleased with his contribution, he was quick on his feet, his touch is fantastic and he really knows how to pick out a pass. Giroud and Walcott are going to get a lot of chances to score this season.

 

For a new player in a new team in a new country getting over flu which nearly kept him out he was amazing. Who needs time to settle, not Ozil
