Exactly, and if you watch closely, Koscielny holds his run back to the goal when he hears the whistle. If ref had not blown, it still wouldn't have been a goal, but once he blew, he had to pull it back.

Also wasn't a red because he wasn't last man.

Hearing he just twisted his ankle so he should be fine for Marseille (but it is Arsenal so Akpom will probably have to play striker)

The pass was behind him because he found the space and then darted behind a defender, Ramsey put the ball as close to the defender as he could so yes it was Girouds fault as he ran out of the space.

One thing I have noticed recently is opposition defenders don't seem to have the fear of him that they do top strikers. That says a lot for me. Im not saying hes not a good player, just that I still think we can get better.

Great result and fully deserved three points. Seventy percent possession and whilst we should have put this game to bed by half time, we got the win in the end through some hard work and great play. Really pleased for Ramsey, he's playing his best football so far and he's worked really hard to get to this position <ok>

There, there, there. That would be the same officials that awarded the penalty for what was clearly pointed out by the Setanta commentators as a dive.

    POSITIVES - Ozil, obviously
    - Ramsey, quickly becoming an indispensable player! This is what Wenger and Fergie saw in him when he was at Cardiff.
    - Flamini - solid, like he's never been away
    - Giroud, 6 in 6, can't really ask for more, not world class but a solid striker and has steadily improved during his time here.

NEGATIVES - injuries have left us with a disturbingly shallow bench, against tougher opposition I have my concerns.
    - Walcott. He always represents a threat with his pace and made the right runs but he needs to get his season up and running. I still can't help thinking that if we had signed a top winger (like Di Maria) we would have buried the game before half time. Theo kicked on last season and had an impressive assist and goal tally, he needs to improve on that this season and set himself higher targets. If he regresses then I think bringing in top class competition would motivate and focus him, and improve the team and him.

Yeah. He didn't need to make it. Craig was on his weaker foot and being marked by Kos and Gibbs

No qualms over the result, but even Matt Le tissier disagreed with the ref's decision as does Wenger(I'm amazed he saw it)

And does the last man have to be in the box..................no, your just making it up now aren't you.

Scoreline flatters, but your good enough for top 4, if not top 3 if Man City continue to struggle.

All the best for the rest for the season.

Seriously, what the hell was Kos thinking about with that stupid tackle? Just plain stupidity. Never going to be one of the best in the game, if he keeps giving pens like that.

    Positives:

    We're top for 2 hours
Ramsey's learnt to finish, the fact he's now a genuine scoring threat has moved him way ahead of Wilshere in the pecking order IMO.
Ozil played well despite being ill, still too early to pass judgement though
Verm is back from injury, so all our defenders are now fit.
Theo can't possibly play that badly again.
Giroud getting injured will hopefully mean Akpom gets a shot. I've seen him for the reserves, and he looks a genuine talent, miles better than Sanogo.

    Negatives:

    Theo was dire.
Giroud is still useless after he scores. Before he scores, he's good, once he's got his goal he vanishes.
Kos's decision making still needs a lot of work
Jack goes down like a sack of potatoes if the wind touches him
Despite him being crap, Giroud is our only recognised striker, him being injured isn't great preparation before Marseille

Doesn't matter whether it was a dive or not, if you keep lunging in in the area you're inviting players to go to ground

Giroud was great. He took his chance clinically and his many one-touch lay offs in the box were class. If he stays fit he could easily be top scorer in the league come end of season.

Theo was good he just lacked with his finishing. He got into the right positions, moved well and made us dangerous on the counter. Once he manages to knock in a goal or two i think he will start banging them in like he did last season. He should have had a goal today, but otherwise put in a good shift.

Giroud is miles better than Akpom. He is currently the leagues top scorer and has 5 goals in 6 games. If he is out it will be a big blow for us. He is physical, hard working and links play well (and did all those things including getting an assist after his goal so no idea what your going on about with him dissapearing after he scores).
