With the way we've played against you in recent seasons, it wouldn't surprise me! How about Chris Hughton just giving the points to the club that he loves? Far better outcome, surely?
Very happy to see Eriksen start today, but a shame it's Sig lining up alongside him and not holtby or lamela. COYS
There are those who wouldn't really care if Hughton left for the ROI job, in fact many would welcome it believe it or not. NCFC fans are not used to defensive 'let's just make sure we don't lose' football. We've always been renowned for playing expansive entertaining football ever since the late great John Bond was our manager, a bit like Spurs really. I say, "Be careful what you wish for", I'll use Charlton fans and Alan Curbishly as an example
I totally understand both viewpoints. Villas-Boas has done well for us, but we've been quite boring at times, which is something we're not used to. I think that Hughton's sorted out the part of the team that he understands best first and is now trying to put some excitement into the side, from what I've seen of you. Bought in some real attacking talent in the summer and you should offer more of a goal threat when everyone's settled in.
Maybe he read some of the posts about him on here and got depressed! I'd assume that he's picked up some sort of injury with Belgium, unfortunately. No news on it, though.
Chadli is injury prone, played 25 and 26 league games in the past two seasons. Plus he is aware of the Chadli is crap campaign and pressure is getting to him LOL
I am not at confident of a win against Norwich but I do want this season to get going. We have all these new players so the next couple of weeks will be very interesting.
