Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp says he would like to sign Tottenham's Emmanuel Adebayor on loan, but admits his chances are slim.

Striker Adebayor has been told to train with the reserves having fallen out of favour at White Hart Lane, but the former Spurs manager admits it would be difficult to persuade the 29-year-old to drop down to the Championship.

"He'd be a great loan, that's for sure," says Redknapp. "I don't know what will happen with him.

"He's a good player but it's up to Tottenham, they have lots of good players. He can't go on loan in the Premier League, he can only go into the Championship but whether he'd want to do that - it would be difficult I think."

Harry just can't leave us alone can he? Every day it seems like he's on about us

Monaco are after Hugo, why can't they just leave us alone?

I don't think any player will go there atm, its a bit precarious that club with the FFP rules, and the other French clubs joining forces trying to get their tax-free salaries banned. This expains it a bit better http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-23288213

If that is upheld and Monaco FC do lose tax free status, it'll be a double whammy as France are trying to introduce a 75% tax rate for anyone earning a 1m+ <ok>

It's likely they would have to offload Falcao and Moutinho in January either way.

I find it a bit oddball anyway, another principality in Italy, San Marino, plays as a country, as do Andorra and Liechenstein, yet Monaco are a club.

Didn't Hugo supposedly reject Monaco in the summer?

I think Hugo sees his future away from France anyway - at least for the foreseeable future.

IF we were to sell him (which I bloody hope not) then I reckon we'll be seeing leave for the Nou Camp next summer. Valdes has said he's leaving at the end of this season and it's fair to say there's no other keeper in Europe that suits Barca's style more than Hugo.

Incorrect - Monaco has a national football team (albeit one that isn't recognised by FIFA, like Kosovo, Greenland or Gibraltar) as well as their own football league. It says a lot that most of the teams in the Monegasque league are named after banks or investment companies, though...

Well, you say incorrect but is it, its unrecognised, so I don't recognise it! A team of blokes from the same place playing one friendly a year, mostly against Vatican City at an unknown venue, does not constitute a national team in my book. They can call themselves one, just as I could take a pub side from the Isle of Man and call them that. I think they have a vivid imagination and a pompous attitude about themselves thinking they're many levels above what they are. :)

No you couldn't, because there's already an Isle of Man national team! Same goes for Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Wight, Shetland - all of which recognised by FIFI (that's the Federation of International Football Independents)

Didn't I read something about Roma falling apart at the seams during the summer? That would explain them selling Stekelenberg, Marquinhos, Osvaldo and Lamela without replacing them adequately (seriously, their main summer signings were Gervinho, Maicon...and pipping us to Tin Jedvaj)

Or, you know, they have coverage of the Island Games in WSC...

Mount Athos have a team but they can't play on Sundays.
The Athonites play at the "Garden of the Virgin".
Prince Philip is their biggest fan but FIFA withdrew their application for
world football due to their restrictive ways. Maybe a blessing as they have
tax advantages, only a population of 2000 and play traditionally in an orthodox style.

I don't. Sandro's an important player for us, Holtby has the potential to be and Roma have owners who want to turn a profit every season.
