What happened there then? This is the manufactured climax to the season isn't it? How come it wasn't a sell-out?

Flicked it over and had a quick look thought it looked sparse. But that is really bad.

They sold over 5,000 tickets but less than 5,000 turn up!
In any kind of weather eh?

Crowd was ****, was always going to be lower than normal with passholders having to pay, last week's performance and the rain, was a good game though.

    And the pitch was fine.

    I'm pleased they won.

The support was **** and I watched it not knowing what was going on, but I quite enjoyed it.

The thin lad that runs quick was great.

Hull City got a mention too - saying Steve Bruce should be watching the lad Shoal? Shaul? ...looked like he was playing an old-fashioned sweeper position in football. Kicked it more than anything too.

Have an excuse for 2 passholders who missed this match- my sister-in-law and her husband. They were flying back to Hull after being out here to celebrate my husband's 75th birthday and our 45th wedding anniversary.

Congrats on the wedding anniversary! I wasn't having a go at anyone, it's the wrong place to do it for starters! Everyone has their reasons, but I've been going all season, I'm not going to miss the first game of the play offs that's for sure.

It's o/t but I fancy our chances against giants next week.

its a bit of a **** making passholders pay for the playoff matches ,
i'd say its still part of the season and precisely what they are paying for through the season
(a stupid playoff tournament that decides the winner of a league , that for us mere football fans are content with !!)

A meaningless game played in driving rain. Shown Live on sky sports wont have helped either. Surprised that many went to the game myself.

Thankfully not much pitch damage was caused by it.

What has that to do with it? City's lowest was when people were boycotting the game in a mickey mouse tournament when we were in the 4th divisionLast night was a game to continue on the road to Old Trafford for the grand final between two top flight teams in a supposedly rugby mad city.

My husband says that a mid-week Chester City match in Dec 1996 attracted 553 fans but was not a league match.
