Indeed. Things we just laugh at but turns out to be true. Will.I.an got a work permit in about three days, and he's got two international caps. I understand there is an "exceptional talent" clause that they got the permit under. Funny how that supersedes actual international experience!
Romanians can just cross our border and sign on the dole same day....but can't sign into the country with a job!
You'd think being international captain trumps an international career that has seen him play for Brazil for the grand total of... ...wait for it... ...it's a good one, this... ...35 minutes.
So its two caps as a late sub saving first teamers legs...quality! I'll keep that back for when the Ch....elsea (just incase DL reads this!) boys start mouthing off! It gets better, the caps came in...friendlies! And Willian is hopeful the move will benefit him as he looks to become a member of Luiz Felipe Scolari's Brazil squad, at his home World Cup, having previously featured just twice for the national team, in two friendlies in November 2011. So the club it would seem don't mind the more humiliating portrayal all over the press today, this is one example, but all the papers and online news have picked up on it. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...m-as-strikers-time-at-club-looks-limited.html Discussing our options in that area AVB mentions Harry Kane before Adebayor....damning. He's only going to get a game by default by the look of it, by that I mean unfortunate injury to others.
"Discussing our options in that area AVB mentions Harry Kane before Adebayor....damning." Will be a laugh when Adebayor gets called up to do the mandatory run-out in a U21 game (hope that one is at home) . But what is happening with Obika nowadays ??
Hi guys, Saints fan in peace. Danny Rose going to be playing this weekend? I need to know whether to make a sub in my Fantasy Football
Just for clarification, any first teamer deemed not "up to speed" regarding fitness, is asked to train away from the main squad, either on a one to one basis with a member of our fitness staff, or with the development squad. Pretty much all players returning from injury have gone through this procedure. In Adebayor's case it is even more appropriate as for the second successive summer, he hasn't done a proper pre season. I won't try and pretend all is well between THFC and Emmanuel Adebayor, because it clearly isn't. You can't treat senilor staff with complete disdain as he has done and get away with it.
SC Don't get me wrong I'm not condoning anything, just saying its not good press, I know nobody cares much for Ade and his antics (me included), but this portrayal of punishment instead of club policy isn't doing his value any good, if he's away Jan, it would seem that this scenario isn't the best selling policy. If AVB and the club are treating him with the disdain he's shown us, fine by me, but I really hope he doesn't have to go cap in hand to Ade for his services to get us out the **** if our other strikers have problems.
I think it makes good sense for him to train with the development team.he clearly was'nt fit last season, and missing, pre season this season, he will need one on one training to get him up to speed
Adebayor is trouble, every cub in Europe is aware of his reputation so in all reality us making him play with the kids so he can train and get up to speed, is just that, our policy, and we can't allow Adebayor to dictate how the club treats him, just so we can help maintain his value. Although I'm not sure any bad press will have much of an impact, as if a club is interested in a player who is deemed to be trouble, they will still make a bid, usually a manager like Sam Allardyce who sees it as a challenge!
Which clubs? be interesting to know who but Adebayor knows at this stage of his career its going to be a step down, or he can move abroad to the russian league.
As has been pointed out trainingwise, Kaboul's done it, Sandro's done it. I suppose really the club aren't remotely interested in the media's portrayal of anything at the best of times!
Yeah fair enough notso, but these two players are good pros who actually have respect for their team mates, so I get what you're saying about the punishment aspect, yet we both know Adebayor is a twat! and I doubt he has much value anyway!
"Spurs wanted him out this summer. They offered the 29-year-old Togo striker to anyone willing to have him. They had an audacious swap bid for Chelsea's Fernando Torres rejected. They offered Adebayor to Real Madrid as part of the Gareth Bale deal. They accepted interest from QPR, Schalke and Besiktas. Yet word coming out of Adebayor's camp each time was that he was not moving. And why should he? You or I would not walk away from kind the contract he is on at White Hart Lane. Which translates to "Why should Adebayor take a drop in salary, you think playing football is more important then money to Adebayor !" But yeah I know hes on a huge contract and doesn't want to walk away.
Yeah, what I meant was, if its club policy, why draw more attention to him, but as you say, he's not worth much so who cares!
