I love how anyone who picks a back four are all including Johnson, who has been very poor all season. For me it is time to drop him for Wisdom or Kelly.

Won't add the new (foreign) boys yet, not see any of them play...
But right now, I'd pick the following starting 11 when availalbe -

    ----------------- Mignolet
    -- Johnson - Toure - Agger - Enrique
    ------------ Gerrard - Lucas
    --- Henderso - Coutinho - Suarez
    ----------------- Sturrdige

Moses to play in place of Suarez for the next two games (or could keep Aspas)

Would give us a bloody good bench as well, 7 from:

Jones, Wisdom, Kelly, Cissokho, Sakho, Ilori, Aspas, Moses, Alberto, Allen, Ibe, Sterling, Skrtel

With our lack of European competition, we should have enough there to mount a decent challenge for a cup or two and even push the others for a top four spot for most of the season.

Yep, congrats on Danny for winning Player of the Month. Well deserved.

Just hope we can keep him fit - along with Coutinho and Suarez, and our attack is up there with the best in the league.

It's amazing how 2 players (Coutinho and Sturridge) have completely transformed our attack.

injury free would be nice, it would also be nice if aspas could hit some scoring form before Luis is back to take the pressure off Danny and Luis a lil bit.

quality deserves its reward.... had he been non english he'd not have got it mind.

i think we need to just get by til suarez is back now... aspas is unconvincing in the extreme for me. the prem is blowing by him. needs time.

Last season when Rodgers had both on he'd play Suarez further forward of the two. Sturridge didn't seem to understand his position well... there was one match in particular where Sturridge was frustrating me by playing virtually as a defender half the match.

Keep Daniel center and up front please. His talent is wasted anywhere else on the field.

Yep, completely agree. Sturridge needs to stay central as he is a natural striker who gets in the box! We can play Aspas or Suarez in that role but they'll always drift wide and deeper up the pitch.

We have a well balanced attack :)

I remember a couple of games where he was dropping into Gerrard/Lucas territory and he looked useless (not his fault obviously). I agree he should play as the striker as often as possible. Sometimes it will be needed that we interchange players to try and break stubborn teams down but in the main he should play up top. He has (so far) earned the right to that spot. Let's just hope Suarez returning helps him more than hinders him.

Lack of Johnson being an "outball" yesterday showed, Wisdom is decent and will (hopefully) only get better, but Johnson would have held onto the ball a wee bit better and hopefully meant the second half wouldn't have panned out the way it did where we seemed to give the ball away cheaply and invite pressure back on our midfield and back four.

I dont think Sturridge was fit to play the 90 yesterday. He really wasnt in the game after the first half. Good news suarez is back after the next game so we can take sturridge off if he's tired. Also shows we are striker short though
