We've had no Premiership football this week , so the poor sports journo's at the Mirror have lots of space to fill and nothing to report. The devil makes work for idle hands.
The Paolo Di Canio ‘revolution’ at Sunderland is in danger of falling apart before it’s even started. As a lifelong fan, I’m still waiting to be convinced that the fiery Italian is the equipped to take the club forward. Right now, I’m not even convinced that he can keep us in the Premier League, or that he’ll still be at the club by the end of the season. I’m still waiting for someone to explain to me just what his credentials were for getting the job in the first place. To me, it looked like a reckless punt from club owner Ellis Short back then and nothing that has happened since has altered my thinking. Ffs, give the fella a chance.
I love the "Steve Bruce would've played Lee Cattermole and Lorik Cana" comment - really well thought out argument Whilst I agree that Vaughan and Larsson in midfield was wrong - I wonder why Di Canio didn't play Cattermole and Cana?
The Daily Mirror is a left wing newspaper, a lot of people think PDC is ultra right wing, that aside, I hope things at the club pick up sooner rather than later!
SAF was a master at adopting a siege mentality to get the best from his players. If PDC can harness the same siege mentality within the Sunderland dressing room then we'll be just champion and these knobheads will suddenly be shown to be the sycophants they are.
Didn’t read any of the article and have no intention of doing so but it was undoubtedly the biggest pile of lazy, uneducated, stinking excrement written by this journalist (loose description here) for many a week.
Errrrm! He kept us in the premier league! Ok...... it was tight but I don't think O Neill or any other jobless manager floating around at the time could have done the same! We were a shambles! His passion and discipline were key when you look at the 2 games we won! We got that shock against Villa and as the rest of the season developed we struggled due to sheer panic, indiscipline and lack of quality on the pitch! If we had getting one of the usual suspects in, instead of di canio, we would definitely be going down this season! With Di Canio, we still might, but we have a fighting chance towards having a decent season!
The Media sharp forget the trouble we were in when he took over. Some fans do too for that matter. The fact he kept us up was exceptional as we were nose diving simple as. Now he's launching a new Sunderland style which is very much in it's infancy. I'm glad Ellis isn't as short sighted as those mugs.
Dawson, man read the title.. Nee idea who Andy is, nor Dawson, hope they are very happy together, looking for glory holes at the blue oyster club.
Serious question. Do these ****wits like this journalist do this job full time and make a living or part time. Say as opposed to their window cleaning round or knocking on people's doors to wash their car or turn over their garden weeds for a quid
The Mirror has never been a left wing paper, and these days could hardly even be described as centre left..
He's just looking for attention, care in the community, the T-shirt and mask gives it away. please log in to view this image
