Puzzled why there is not more chatter re the subject two some. Looks like they are going to be signed. Saw the highlight of the reserve game. Fletcher looked as though (on at least one occasion) he had a nice first touch. But again if they are to be signed seems strange.
They are just going to the reserves. Doesnt seem to strange to sign people for the reserves who you think will one day be useful.
Neither is free we have to pay compensation for both. I don't really see the point unless they're going to strengthen us. No point paying out a wage for a reserve player who might be useful one day.
Can't be bothered to search through the rule book, but here it's stated in the first paragraph. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23476986
Obviously, you don't understand the rules. It all depends on whether they are still registered by their former clubs and as we are now in a new season I cannot see why on earth their former clubs would still maintain their registrations when they were released so long ago, even if it were legal for them to do so.
Why on earth would any club throw away a chance to gain compensation? Do you flush your money down the toilet too?
He'd been offered a new deal, but decided to move anyway, that's why they were entitled to compensation. When a player is released, he's a free agent and no compensation is payable.
Still dont get it. Someone beyond Clemence must see something in them that others do not (previous teams they played/tried out for). Must see more say in Fletcher than NP, AM etc. Does anyone expect them get at least a place on the bench for the first team?
