Yeah, that seems like a good price. Maybe some add-ons depending on progress. I feel that would be better than paying around £18M up front. <ok>

Yeah but I would look like a world beater in one of though vids. My own goals and miscontrols would not be chosen!

Are we just being outdated with our valuations these days? Maybe £18.5M is the new £12M? I do like the idea of having a strong English contingent in the team, so that they build a good team morale and we see an end to the little camps of nationalities. Barcelona seem to work with having so many home grown players. I'd like to see how this pans out. In Kenny we trust.

18 million right now is a rip-off but if he is going to reach his full potental where elese to learn than from Kenny and Stevie G?

However if I had to choose between Henderson and Nasri then Nasri everyday of the week.

Sadly, it would've taken Industrial Light And Magic to make me look good.

Hate to give you the bad news lads, but the majority of us Sunderland fans are hoping this deal comes off!
Jordan is a good young talent, but hes far from the finished article!
He only scored 2 or 3 goals last season despite starting most games. His tackling is poor, and his set-pieces are abysmal.
However he has got terrific stamina and work rate, and im sure as he matures he will be a very decent player, but the money you are offering we cant refuse. Abit like the Geordies were with Carroll!

Humm the price is a little suspect.

I guess you just have to trust the owners and scouts!

Yeah if the offer is true then i think you guys will have a good result. He looks like a promising talent, but to be honest i have not seen or heard enough about him.

BTW, he wont be taking set pieces, and we wont be buying him especially for his tackling abilities!

i think Mcarthy from wigan would be as good as, if not better than Henderson for probably less money. Real Madrid dont watch just any old scottish teenager...

He's started adding goals to his game (about time too!) but the truth is we got Sessegnon for £6m off PSG and he's a MUCH better player, so if you do buy him for £20m, well, thanks :)
Like one of you has mentioned, N'Zogbia is reportedly available for HALF that, and he's been liked with us for ages, so if we bring him in, that would be very good business indeed.
The Cattermole story seems to have lost steam, but you're welcome to him. Injured too frequently, suspended too frequently... The fee you were offering was reportedly £12m, double what we paid for him. Honestly, if that deal went through, we should name a stand in your manager's honour.

The way this story has been hyped up by the media I am beginning to wonder if there is really anything to it,or is it all smoke and mirrors.

I think you're right, there seems to be a big rush like they think the transfer window is closing soon or something... The same thing happened with Young not too long ago and it all turned out to be crap.

I figure Kenny or Comolli probably enquired about him, someone at Sunderland leaked the info and now we're apparently bidding £20m for him, it's like a game of Chinese whispers.

Nobody from either club has officially come out and acknowledged the potential for a deal, let alone a price. It's just stuff like 'Sunderland manager Steve Bruce is looking for closer to 20 million' and generally tenuous bits of information like that. People latch on to it (especially on twitter, where one person can link anyone with us, and then others start to produce 'insider' info on it from nowhere) and suddenly the whole thing gathers momentum.

The fee, if we do get him, will more than likely be undisclosed.
