We love them all! There'll be a coaching team bigger than Fat Sams in a few years <laugh>

He's better than Shola, he makes intelligent runs and causes problems. I'd keep him as a squad striker.

This. A great sport but we need better. He is a waste of wages.

Seriously, who brings more to our game? Lovenkrands or Ameobi?

Ameobi has played more games with the same number of goals and offers little else. Lovenkrands has a one in four record, despite having to come off for the last 10 minutes of every game cos he's clearly knackered. I'd rather have 11 Lovenkrands' running around putting their heart into it than pretty much any other player we have bar Nolan and Barton

Fair enough he trys hard but to be a Premier League player you need to be a cut above the rest, and im sorry but if we want to aim for europe lovenkrands just isnt good enough... If we played him all 38 games he would struggle to score at the most 10...

People are like lets just keep him on low wages.... This is not good business, at the end of the day, to be succesful, the club needs to spend money wisely. This may mean being ruthless.. Lovenkrands is past his prime and would just be a passenger... Too many players were passengers when we went down last time..

Same applies to Ameobi (obviously make sure we bring a few strikers in first)

Maybe you could read the rest of the thread where I and many others suggest to have him only as a squad player. I'd rather have Gameiro over him any day, but I'd rather him than Ameobi or Ranger

Yeah I did read it, but I was implying which you will disagree that I dont think we should keep him at all, as it would be a waste of wages, I just dont trust him in front of goal....
Id rather get rid of him and give another youth player a chance, playing people like lovenkrands is what is wrong with english football in general, we'd rather play a mediocre forward who we bought, but is near the end of his career ,then give the youth a chance.
Id rather give players like Phil airey who won golden boot in reserve league, sammy ameobi, lua lua, vuckic (can play up front)...

That is what clubs do in countries like spain and look how much that has transformed not just their national team but league!

But the fact is, it's not. It's hyperbole. Spanish players have been coached better than other countries, and are able to play at a high standard immediately. Very few players are that good when they come through, even if they are playing regularly in England (e.g. Wickham). And I'll tell you what, you may say we had too many passengers when we went down, but we also had too many players with no care for the shirt too
