    Fantastic turnout.

To be fair, when you look at the former players who turned out, I'm not surprised. Didn't Celtic get around the same for Petrov's game?

In my opinion Maldini is the greatest defender ever. But I only judge on players I have actually seen, in my defence...

So Di Canio turns out FOC at a ground and plays the full 90 mins where he gets booed every time he touches the ball and gets a few tasty tackles into the bargain to help raise money for charity?

Seems a decent bloke to me.....

He was nowhere near the level of Baresi. He might be the 2nd best ever though.

As I said, I only judge on players I have seen... Baresi was just before my time.

    18. Born in '95. I thought that was obvious with all the University stuff mentioned recently, and the fact I have also said that I started going to City in 98/99.

It does say my age on that bit next to my posts...

    Fantastic turnout indeed.
That's what we are about. We look after our own. Harps has been a legend for us and is a fan at heart.
He gave all the cash to charity too which typifies the bloke.
You chaps have a great footballing man in your dressing room and to be honest, I wish he was still with us.
All the best for the season guys, Being a Brid lad I always look out for your result.

Not on my iPod app it doesn't.

And you missed a truly great player. The word is used far too lightly nowadays but Franco fits the bill more than any other defender. I remember Gazza wildly proclaiming (I'm paraphrasing): "he doesn't even run cos he doesnt have to. He just stands where he knows the ball will go and it does exactly that. He comes off the pitch without a bead of sweat on him."

Were... I moved up to The North East over half my lifetime ago (20 years).
Enjoyed my time at UNI on Cott road though (Mainbrace still there?) and milking the talent in LA's though.
Lets not talk about the Tower in an hour ;)

    You're certainly no gloryhunter.

More chance of silverware at the KC than up there.
