    I think the person who answered correctly then sets the next question. If it's anything like the pub quiz threads on the Watford and Q.P.R. boards that is.

    Whoa there!!!!

    Hold your horses old gal.

    You have to wait to see if your answer is confirmed as being correct. If it is then it has to be established if you cheated and used google or wikipedia <yikes>.
    Then AND ONLY THEN, will you get your reward.

    Really? I never knew that <whistle>

    Okay. Next question.

    What is the town of Consett (the one up north, nearly in Scotland where ACS comes from) famous for?

    Clue: I'm looking for a particular 'first'.

    Not googled this one honest ! My auntie lives in Durham so I've been there a couple of times. Consett was the first town in the World to have a Salvation army band.

    It is also famous for being the birthplace of Wilkinson sword. In Shotley bridge some German settlers who were masters of steel and sword manufacturing formed the nucleus of the process and company which followed.
    There is an old pub called the crown and cross swords..... Which wilkinson sword adopt to this day as their logo.
    There's a QI...

    Edit... heres proof...........http://www.the-nut.net/articles/shotley_swords.php

    O.K. This one has a London flavour to it.
    If you start off with a monkey. Take a string of ponies away from that, then add a pavarotti and a lady godiva, subtract a poorly fish and then add a Maggie Thatcher what are you left with ?

    500 -250 = 250

    +10 + 5 = 15

    -6 + 1 = 5

    Total = 270 (I think <yikes>)
