What's helped Arsenal across the line in the past couple of season is going on a long winning streak in their last dozen or so games, which does lead to an odd conclusion - that it is safer for us to presume we need to be ahead of them in March and try to keep pace with them for the last six weeks of the season, than the alternative that is Arsenal assuming they will go on a late win streak to finish Top 4. Now, whilst this may sound a tad WUM, it really isn't - if, for the sake of argument, we are three points ahead of Arsenal at the start of March and they assume they'll go on a winning streak, that may motivate the squad to finish the job. On the flip side to this, if Arsenal see they're three points behind us and think they overcame the odds before, they may gain a slight air of complacency by assuming we'll make a Prometheus of it.
Or hope that Deschamps steps down as France coach and Wenger taps himself up to the detriment of his team's form...
...and the French press bloating their tabloids with "Cry Whinger for France!" (or whatever patriotic clap-trap they come out with when they want to stir the masses up into a fervour).
There are currently a lot of Gooners wondering when AFC's octogenarian board of directors is going to introduce Whinger to Lady Guillotine.
Not again "Spurs are a club that are definitely going forward. There's no reason why we can't catch Arsenal which makes this season coming so exciting" Darren Bent 2007 "We can definitely overtake Arsenal this year" Jermaine Jenas 2008 "If you look at the last 4 or 5 years, Arsenal have always got in front of us slightly, but if you look now its certainly even. If you look at the bench we have now it is probably stronger than their bench" Robbie Keane 2009 "Arsenal have a great team, but ours is better" Rafael Van Der Vaart 2010 "Arsenal are ahead of us in the Premier League, but we are getting a lot closer = soon we will be above them in the league" Peter Crouch 2010 "i know I've been saying it for a number of years now, but this year we will finish above them (Arsenal)" Ledley King 2011 "Can Arsenal finish above us?" "No not a chance, we are better" Rafael Van Der Vaart 2011 "I think we have now overtaken them on the pitch" Gareth Bale 2012 Will Spurs never learn?
A simple cut and paste - google is a wonderful thing http://angryofislington.com/2013/05/22/what-do-spurs-players-think-about-arsenal/
Shouldn't you be worrying about being taken down by a West Ham player now that we're not lending you anyone to dig you out of the hole, TC? A long tradition of Spurs youth players keeping Millwall in the 2nd tier, now spoiled by a ****, clueless midfielder.
Not really, i'm not there. Lets not bother listing all the millwall ones eh? Including turning green street pretty much into a warzone. Yes i saw it.
Such a rubbish wum yet such a full net - even HIAG was crying to the mods about my thread the other day
