until we have a clear out from bottom to top with the idiots who run the FAW then it makes no difference who is the manager....I would not pay to watch wales if they were playing in my back garden until these bunch of amateurs have been replaced....every one of them..

We have to face the fact that we can't draw in a decent manager, and our best bet is to try and get someone who's quite young and inexperienced and give them time. Like we did with Speedo and like we did with Hughes. Saying that I have no idea who.

I can't bring myself to slag Coleman off for all our failings because he was in a lose-lose situation after Speed. No one else would've taken the job and he has tried but he's just not good enough. Not really his fault IMHO. The alternative was Hartson <doh>

I think Bellers would be a good choice, keep Coleman until the end of the season, sack him like a dog and then appoint Bellers.

    Coleman.

I'm going to get abuse for this but frankly I don't give a ****.

We are Wales, not Brazil, not Spain.

Our first eleven looks very decent on paper, but how often has Coleman been able to field that team??

    Not even once.

Look at the players he has, we are mixing Premier league talent (A.Williams, B.Davies, Ramsey, Bale) with lower league mediocrity.

I don't know how any man is able to do a job at a club where he has been offered nothing but constant riducule from the moment he walked in.

If he had been able to field a full strength team everytime there would be more reason for argument

His total vilification is completely embarrassing.
I feel like I'm looking at Chelsea fans last year, at least they had a reason to mock their manager.

Chris is a Welshman who has been sent into war with a toothpick and a knife because all the big guns have been left at home- I think he is doing a good job and needs to be given time and backing.

    His riducule is EMBARRASSING.

(PS- could you imagine Macedonian hearts lifting if Bale wasnt even in the squad?
    Coleman was right).

Rip into me all you want, I know I'm in for it.
    But I don't care

What hope in hell have we got as a country with 3 million people who won't turn up to support their own team.
    Reading this is embarrassing

Uni, that is your opinion and you are entitled to air your views. I disagree with your opinion, I have never supported Coleman's appointment as I do not think he has the credentials or ability to run a pub team let alone the national team. His managerial record is poor to say the least. The WFA were brave in appointing Sparkey and Speed both were relatively successful in their own way. I also think Sparkey is an okay manager but nothing special. Sadly we will not see Speed any more but of the 3 he had the most potential. The WFA got lucky with both Sparkey and Speed which unfortunately for Coleman set a standard he may not be able to achieve.

His all round performance to date is poor and irrespective of the players availability he hasn't inspired me in the slightest nor has he done anything to change my view about what I believe is his limited ability. Pullis is a good shout to replace him, if a Welsh manager is a prerequisite, but his tactics don't make for good viewing.

Cheers Taff, I respect your opinion as a quality poster on the board but I think even Mourinho would have procured the same results with the same squad choices- we simply are not able to put the ball in the net, we lack a top quality goal scorer ala Rush or Hughes.

Regardless I will be cheering on the team- since total abstinence or worse (negativity) should automatically disqualify that person from having the right to an opinion!

Looking forward to the game but with a makeshift defence, lacklustre midfield, and no strikers I fear we will be on the end of a 4-0 drubbing.

Hope Coleman can prove everyone wrong (myself included tonight).

Uni mate - you sound a bit like the Groovy Gang talking about Dai over there.

"Negativity" is an opinion however much you may dislike it. <ok>

    Cheers Sparkey.

Maybe it's just how SOME people are expressing their displeasure that irks me.

Nothing like a variety of opinions to add 'spice' to life, eh?
That is, after all- the nature of these forums.

I choose to stand by Coleman and Wales for now, and admire those who disagree tastefully such as yourself and Taff.

Not saying things will change in a year or two (barring the obvious retort)-
    Fingers crossed.

No probs Uni, but the "passion" for national football for me these days comes a very poor second to club support. <ok>

I know many will say why can't you do both then? My answer would be that you can and I've done it myself in the past, but personally I've lost all interest this past dozen years or so in the international fixtures.

I say the very best of luck to those that do, and have no problems with a thread on here about it. It's just that the whole thing has become something of a bore fest.

Only an opinion mate - albeit a "negativity" one. :emoticon-0105-wink:

I will still support the Welsh team albeit from afar, personally I would like to see the Dutch fella back. It would help the team (imo) and give Wales a higher profile with the Dutch masterclass on media managment. :)

I agree, we need a solid base and an identity, plenty of smaller nations get to finals but they have a certain way of playing football and are generally hard to beat and tend to qualify by getting 1-0 wins and the odd draw. Speed had a system that was clear to see and the team all knew their job we need to get back to this somehow.

Loads would like Bellamy in chrarge but with the personal problems he has it is simply not the right time.

bellers would never make a manager in his life time..<laugh> good joke though..<ok> we wont have a team until the idiots who run this shower start to do their job properly and insist if a welsh player is fit he plays and not bow down to clubs when they say their player won't be released because of a mystery illness that magically disappears the following day...Who the hell wants to give their support to that. the less that follow wales the better and maybe they will get the message...it one big joke.....get hartson and bellers involved with coaching and install some passion but as manager then no way the both of them...

The seeding system has killed international football for the smaller nations. The qualifying competitions are set up to ensure all the 'big' nations appear in the finals. Then they seed the draw for the finals.

They might as well pick two teams for a televised final and forget the rest of the competition.

What a joke with no shots on target until bale came on....he should have started both games regardless what their club says....one good thing only 7,500 turned up and with a bit of luck a few more thousand will join us in not supporting wales until we have people in charge that knows what they are doing...that is the only positive to come out of this joke...

there was the whole stand singing 'we want coleman out', i joined in and that was a terrible performance, we've got a few to choose from under coleman, pulis would get better results than this. a nothing performance, only thing worth the admission fee was the cracking goal by kolarov and thats saying something.............<ok>
