Well, as this thread is about Rickie Lambert, I thought he played quite well, given the service he got.
Rickie was the only player to create chances throughout the game, no one gave him a decent pass all night. Milner had opportunities to put him clear but decided to turn around and go in the opposite direction, if they want goals they must feed the Lamb, then he would score!
Lambert had no service all game, I thought he was one of the better players, prob tied with Gerrard, the rest were poor.
100% agree. However when the ball came to him in second half, his touch was off. He did in first half, but if you think he played well second half you must have been wearing red glasses
Rickie was our only forward player that could control a football. As I said, wilshere, Walcott & young were woefully inept. If anyone else had any awareness he could have been played in a couple of times. Rooney at number 10 and lambert at number 9 might be an interesting shout....
In the first half, he was the only player save for the central defenders who seemed to have made the trip. Second half his touch wasn't nearly as good, largely because he ran himself into the ground in the first half.
