Unless it hampers us from getting Shane Long or someone else in January (which imo is nailed on to happen, I reckon Bruce will be scouting already) then I don't see what harm it could do to add him as long as he isn't incredibly greedy.

Somebody posted earlier in this thread that if you had 25 contracted players at the club you had to play them. Don't know if it's true or not but would explain why, especially if MF goes out as expected.

You look on the current West Ham Squad list and there is 27 players - excluding today's signing. There's a lot of names on that list that don't fall in the U21 list.
