Now that the loan market is open who would you like to see us sign?

Personally I would like to see Billy Sharpe on loan but that will be wishful thinking as Southampton are demanding that any club that takes him must pay his weekly wages in full. How about Owen Garvan from Palace as I hear that he has been made surplus to requirements! At least he will add some much needed creativity in the middle of the park and he grew up at Town. I just hope that he can forgive the way we treated him during the Keane era. I wasn't his biggest fan but I am happy to eat my words after some of the performances he has put in for Palace in the Championship.

Anyhoo what do you guys reckon? We all know that we lack creativity so who will be the most realistic options out there?

Don't think we need anyone...........although if Mourinho continues to overlook Mata he might be worth a sniff....

Jwm your spot on with sharp and garvan. Saints playing hardball and garvan not even in prem squad<doh> I would quite happily see him back in our midfield for a few months. However I won't be setting my sights to high as of course we'll be governed by money and loaning clubs willing to cough up the lions share. So we are reliant on MM nous and contacts or make do with what we have.

I was never much of a garvan fan....but I do agree that both he & sharp might be just what we need to turn these half decent performances into wins!

Both definitely the type of player we need although we do have IMO 2 decent enough CMs in Tabb and Tunnecliffe although they're not bein played there. I was a big fan of Garvan and would welcome him with open arms back to the club, might be a bit too lightweight for Mick though.

Again someone like Sharp would be ideal however I doubt we could afford his wages and I'm sure more attractive propositions will be on offer.

I actually think the only place Mick will look to strengthen is RB, rumours of Phil Bardsley from Sunderland although I'd like to see him work more with Hewitt and Veseli.

Considering I believe the majority of us thought vaselli was a good signing doesn't he warrent a chance. Yes he's young and someone like bardsley would certainly bring experience. Sharp as has been said a lot over the summer would be a great acquisition but wages definitely above us. And hey we have Alan lee waiting in the wings!!!!!!!

I am a big Garvan fan and I was originally all for him coming back but some mates and I had a bit of a chat about it over a few beers last night and we came to the conclusion that maybe he wouldnt be the best bet for our needs. Great vision but rather slow and we are generally well equipped in CM. A penalty box player would be great. I would love for us to get Billy Sharp. If we were to get a midfielder I would prefer a wide man for the left. Im not a fan of playing Tabb out there. With Cresswell behind you probably dont want an out-and-out winger but someone who can cover the defensive side of the game. The next Jonathan Walters would be great. Can Score, works tirelessly and can trouble the opposition.

Maybe an option. If you had the 2 wide men and 2 strikers as Murphy - Sharp - McGoldrick and Anderson then it wouldnt be a bad mix.

I actually though Murphy and Cresswell had a decent partnership out there, I know not many people rate Murphy out wide but he does a good job out there and he's one of the only players who i can think of in recent times who doesn't continuously cut inside and just leave Cresswell either exposed or by himself out there, he actually gives us a bit of width. Problem is if we play him there (which I doubt Mick will) who then do we play upfront?? I don't think we can rely on Nouble yet, he's looked poor so far and I don't think McGoldrick and Taylor will form that great a partnership because both do most of their work outside the penalty box, we'd be quite blunt upfront and I think have 2 players coming deep for the ball!!! Is the answer Alan Lee???

as much as billy sharp is mentioned is it really possible when he's on 18k. 100% we'd all like to see him in town colours tho.
