Anybody taking a keen interest? il be watching it. The last tournament Showcased the likes of Mezut ozil, Muller and Khadira. Wonder if Pearsons got any scouts there?
The Spanish our first opponents. It promises to be a great game, we have a very good U21 set up and Physco has got them playing good football Danny Sturridge the one to watch for this tourny - it could be the true making of him. Quite possibly a Chelsea regular next season
Been around for a while, was tipped for big things at Man City when he was 16/17, but he never got a real chance with all that Arab money around
Pearce? I get annoyed with all the 23 year olds playing at U21 level. It is confusing. One player that looked good last night was Jordan Henderson. Playing as a deep lying playmaker he gave out some awesome passes.
The 'who needs Mourinho? we've got our physio!' chant is decent tbf. Poor grammer if so :/ Physio psycho, well whatever. Let's get back to young-ish englishmen
Henderson £18m to Liverpool possibly? Fielding (GK) 22, Richards (RB) 22, Mancienne (CB) 23, Muamba (CM) 23. I see what you mean about U21 players being, err, 23. Maybe they have to be under 21 at the start of qualifying or something?
There allowed so many over 21's i believe. A bit like the homegrown players rule in the Premier League. Definate watch out for Sturridge! Dissapointed Wilshere isn't playing to be fair, i love watching him play!
Watched the U21s last season. Some decent games and but they rode their look quite a bit and alot of the German youngsters were put straight into their team that beat the England senior side in the WC ie Khaderia, Otzil, Neuer. Didn't they lose in the final 2 years before and all to the Dutch?
Thats it i think, it starts when the qualifying starts. Henderson would be a good buy for 'pool but £18m is a bit steep
