Some centre backs are 80 pace and most people use full backs that are around 90 pace so Rodriguez is not exactly setting the world alight even if he is our fastest player. We don't have a right side attacker either so if you start with Rodriguez either he or the player playing RM/RW/RF doesn't have full chemistry. I will only use him as a sub because of that.
This kind of **** is exactly the reason I don't play ultimate team, if using people in the 80s for pace leaves you severely disadvantaged. Booooring.
Some of the bronze and silver teams this year are going to be mad. I'm still using Kenwynne Jones and Chamakh though, they seem to play amazing every year for me. Stoch looks great on the game too. Pochettino OUT.
If you're decent at the game it doesn't leave you at such a disadvantage. Players like Lambert (who's a lethal finisher) can be super-effective.
It only makes a slight difference. If you are good at the game then you will be good with a Saints team on ultimate team.
Watching videos from the 10 Youtubers that went to the recent FIFA event make it seem pace isn't as important as last year. Youtubers that went included KSI, Nepenthez, Calfreezy, TwoSycnFifa, MattHDGamer and FIFARalle. Nepenthez and AirJapesFIFA have done a couple of gameplay video's and it seems clear to me that strength is more important than pace. Bernard is a 90 pace + 5* skiller, but his 21 strength means he gets shrugged off the ball very easily. Going by that Lambert could prove to be a very important player for an Ultimate Team based on Southampton.
It's all well and good saying that, but even now when I play someone like CSKA on FIFA, there's no stopping lobbed through balls to Doumbia no matter what I do. I can only imagine Ultimate Team is just a whole bunch of teams with 90+ pace strikers. Not that it matters too much, the whole idea of Ultimate Team doesn't appeal as much to me as Seasons regardless.
Here's Calfreezy's video on all the BPL transfer budgets.
True to an extent, i am a good fifa player (i like to think so anyway haha) and like many others try to avoid pace (To an extent) but its not possible. Lambert was in my team for a while, but when you get to division one, every team is a pacey team and lambert becomes useless and all the other team does is counter attacking long balls. I can win division one playing there way but when i play nice football, i am going up and down a division!
Demo is out tomorrow I believe. And I'm not too sure EA have confirmed the teams taking part in the demo. Futhead seem to think these teams will be the 6: Man City Tottenham Atl. Madrid PSG AC Milan Dortmund http://news.futhead.com/posts/fifa-14/25476-fifa-14-demo-teams-and-details
