hahaha Gnabry's better than Coutinho then I guess. <doh>

Toure who City booted out has been past it for years. He joins Liverpool on a free and you get these guys putting him above one of the best centre backs in the Prem.

You don't give a s'hit about Arsenal even though this whole article is on that very subject? I knew you weren't the sharpest tool in the box. But you kinda used to keep it under wraps.
For some strange reason you've let it slip all of a sudden

He's been excellent for us so far this season, so you won't find many of us that bothered about where he came from. As for him being better than Koscielny, different types of defenders really..

You'd be better comparing Toure with Mertesacker and Agger with Kolscielny.

First two are the more dominant in the air type, and the other two are the more composed ball playing of CB's. At the moment, wouldn't swap our two for the 2 from Arsenal.

Toure used to play for Arsenal so I think I know what type of defender he is. That's besides the point though. Koscielny and him are more similar than Mertesacker and Toure. And they could all be compared.

He's been excellent for you in what? 3 games. I think you'll realise he's nowhere near as good as you think in few months time. He will cost you some points. Trust me.

I'm not being funny mate, but as long as we keep picking up clean sheets I don't really care. The beauty is, if his performance levels drop like you say, we now finally have enough depth that we can take him out and put in another good player.

I think a lot of us reds have taken to him because of his personality. He's been a top pro since he came in, he's given us more than just footballing ability which is never undervalued here. We lost Carra in the Summer, and Toure has come in and been top class and that's all we can really ask for. He's 32 now, many of us expected him to only be back-up, but as long as he keeps performing we have no reason to take him out so it's a win-win.

Toure 'dominant in the air'? Deary me some of you are going to be disappointed a bit further down the line...

Anyway this is pointless. It seems that neither team's fans would swap any of their defenders for the rival set. Stalemate.

Ah yes, because a lot of CB's you see are dominant in the air for their first 4 games, then suddenly lose that ability <doh>

No, he's not dominant in the air full stop. Mertesacker is also not great in the air either. The fact that both of them win a few headers against small strikers doesn't make them dominant in the air. Both will get nailed by anyone like Carroll or Fellaini.

Koscielny is far more aggressive in the air than Mertesacker.

Well having watched him against Stoke and Crouch (really tiny striker) he seemed to win a lot, as well as winning a couple in their area. Same against Villa, seem to win a few against Benteke as well <ok>

We've been watching Toure for years at Arsenal in close quarters. This was one he was in his peak. Has he suddenly developed aerial dominance in the latter stages of his career? He is anything but that.

The fact he dominated Benteke (a player known for being strong, physical and more than capable in the air) in the air a few week back would go along way to showing he has aerial capabilities.

Perhaps it was Arsenal's own short coming in flighted ball that was the problem. Lets be honest since the likes of Adams and Keown retired, Arsenal have adapted so that they don't have play the ball in the air.

To be fair to dubbed - when it comes to Koscielny i can guarantee you cannot find a single Arsenal fan in the world who thinks Toure is better. I'd be incredibly shocked if just one fan of Arsenal (who lets be fair have seen more of both players than most fans of other clubs) would rather have Toure in the team than Kosc.

Koscielny was a BIG reason why we got top 4 last season ahead of Spurs. Fans of other clubs haven't quite clocked on to how good he is yet, but i recon by the end of the season everyone will be drooling all over him.

And this is comming from an Arsenal fan who has always liked Toure a lot, both for his personality and his footballing ability. Just over a year ago when we needed to bring in a back-up CB i wanted Toure to come in and play 4th choice ahead of Djourou.

He will do a good job for you and i still think he has spomething to offer at this level, but i wouldn't in a million years have him on a team sheet ahead of Kosc and i think that is probably the view shared by most people.

The key point here is that it's clear Arsenal fans wouldn't want to swap any of our first choice defenders for your lot, and vice versa Liverpool fans wouldn't want to swap any of there back-4 for any of ours. So as Cini said a few posts back, it's a stalemate, there will be no winner here :p

I possess more knowledge in my little finger than you do your whole rancid body. But that goes without saying though as you've proven yourself to be among one of the most clueless posters on this board. That is some feat looking at the ignorant stuff being posted on here.

But it's nonsense. The only reason they wouldn't swap him for Koscielny is cause he plays for Liverpool. Pure bias. You don't see any gooners claiming they wouldn't swap Giroud for Suarez. No. He's twice the player.
Same with Koscielny and Toure. Shouldn't even be a debate.
