They haven't scored yet in 3 prem games against our 1st team and we won't be playing the reserves again next Monday either.

No it gave us a reality check that we were not as good as some thought we were but fulham eclypse that by slaughtering us at home.....we were rubbish and we still need to improve if we are to have any chance against a massive team like liverpool. The right players in their proper positions will go a long way in giving us any chance and the right tactics will help....I hope laudrup have done his homework this time....<ok>

the strongest with rogers way of playing. out play them at their own game and not sit back waiting for them to score. i would not play vorm against them but play tremmell as he is better against the better teams with having that extra height for any crosses that will surely come...

Tremmel may be slightly better at crosses but I think Vorm is a better shot stopper. But you say ML needs to play the right players in their proper positions. So what changes would you make for the Liverpool game?

I have already said....the strongest possible in their correct positions. they are all good players..I'm more concerned with laudrup's tactics than anything else. we are not as fluent as we was under rogers and we don't use our wings to good effect. we know rodgers is now doing that at liverpool and we must do the same or they will out play us...Vorm is not the keeper for these type of games as he likes the more slower games where we have the ball more than the opposition and this game will be super fast passing by both sides if laudrup gets it right. Tremmel commands the box more and he shouts commands more than vorm imo....I just think he is a better keeper overall than vorm....

Ok Dai, we are all thinking it, but your just avoiding it, please tell us your ideal line up, including players in which positions.

Don't give us "their strongest position", we wasnt to see yor line up.

Look, I will even help you along your way, here is my ideal line-up for the game against Liverpool

    ---------------Vorm---------------
    Rangel----Chico---Williams---Davies
    ----------Canas---Britton----------
    Hernandez----------------Routledge
    --------------Michu----------------
    ---------------Bony----------------

So thats my ideal line-up, with the tactics to go get them, I also am a fan of Laudrups chosen style of wing play, or lack of, it draws in the wide defenders allowing space for our full backs to get forward. If the wide defenders of teh opposition don't follow our wingers, then it causes a bit of an overload for them in the middle, which is what happened with Pozuello (Petrolul), Hernandez (West Brom) goals recently.

Where as I personally also disliked Rodgers way of using wingers, as we NEVER had anyone other than the striker in the box, where as now we have options.

Just take a look at this information (taken from http://www.statbunker.com/)

We're better than a point , a win is more than possible and thats not me getting carried away. They have the players to hurt sides but so have we and their main man will be unavailable and Sturridge is doubtful so that leads aspas to start chipping in with a goal or two.Defensiviy their not that strong either with a new keeper and enforced changes at the back could make them not as strong as they apperar on paper.\Under the lights as well should make it a atmospheric and exciting game

Our conversion rate Will need to improve if we want something from this game. Liverpool have improved all over the team sl nothing less than 100% is needed from us to compete IMO . ;)

It was something to do with part of the take over by fans, the deal meant they could keep the ground but pay off the wages of players that were owed .

Presumably it is all part of the agreement reached with creditors and the supporters trust must have factored all this in to their business plan to have been allowed to take over the company. I guess some of this must be back wages owed at the time of the CVA and the rest is contractual wages. presumably the latter must stop when the contract runs out....and surely not many will have more than 3 or 4 years when they were signed? I seem to remember a big thing at the time was somehow persuading players to leave f0or other clubs as a favour...but obviously many chose to stay and get their wages....but surely, they should therefore be still playing for the club?
