It looks as if the capital City's Premier League ground is continually expanding.


The last league game against Everton saw the seating capacity for the Cardiff City Stadium rise to 27,344. Now the record stadium capacity is about to be broken again for the forthcoming fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday 22nd. Seats are being fitted in the Canton/Grandstand corner.


No resting on their laurels for this club.
 
Obviously a thread for us Cardiff fans, and then you get Dull Dai making a jealous little appearance. If we had 40,000 seats they would all be filled at the moment. Which is good for support in the South Wales area and perhaps we will gain more long term supporters, which would also be a good thing.
 
Why did you guys only take half your allocation for Chelsea?
You had the choice of 1500 or 3000 and took 1500. Surprised me.
 
That would surprise me too. We sold out our allocation for our trip to your neighbours at Fulham three weeks before the game.

Can't see anything less than the 3,000 allegedly offered being required. Maybe we've just asked for an initial allocation with more to follow?
 
Chelsea ticket allocation not even on sale yet. If this is true then the club has made the decision in advance.

Thats rubbish 1500 sold out in a day and another 6000+ season ticket holders awaiting to fight for the 1500 to be let go after , why not give us your full away allocation and we will fill it not a prob . Fulhams a good example.
 
Apparently the clubs have agreed that we will only have 1500 tickets for Chelsea.

They are not on sale yet. Probably a bubble.

Its probably because of past trouble.

My bet is Chelsea will only get 1500 for our game.

Sad really that fans will miss out.
 
No police restrictions with only 1500 allocation after the good behaviour at WH.

3000 and it was going to be a bubble/travel restrictions so the other forums say. We could have sold 3 times that allocation. There was a 500+ waiting list for Fulham after the 3K sold out in a day.


In more bad news my mates at WOL have moved the Spurs fixture to an away match........

I think it's more a case of selecting games. Following the way City fans were last treated at Chelsea there is a reluctance by both the club and fans to go there. Hull's not an attractive fixture. Fulham away is already a sell out.
 
Strovolos - I saw that posted on your board by scooterboy - don't really understand that to be honest after we sold out three weeks before for the Fulham trip.

The only thing I can think of is your location. It shouldn't be a problem for the committed serial away traveller, but it would tend to put off some who think you need vaccinations for anything north of Brum.

I've never been to the KC, but contract worked in Hull for over two years in the 80's and enjoyed many a Tiger's game at Boothferry with a great set of local workmates that I met at the IS plant in National Aveneue.

It's probably changed now, but I must say the one thing I was grateful for was that I lodged up the road in Beverley and only travelled into Hull for the work. (no offence like <ok>)

I think it's very strange given the support you had for the end of season promotion party game only a few weeks ago. Everyone I have spoken to from Cardiff said it was a great day out in terms of matchday experience (given it was a party) seems strange that those people don't want a repeat. Must be because they know they will witness a defeat!! :emoticon-0136-giggl

And, no offence taken. Given Beverley is surrounded by sheep pasture, I can fully understand why you would rather live there.

It would be rude of me to say they were better looking than the women up there - but there you go............<laugh>
