Has to be the Bible. No disrespect to God Botherers but it is the greatest fiction drama of all time. It's got the lot, sex, violence. sodomy, homosexuality, bestiality, Charlton Heston, commandments, people dying and coming back to life and all sorts of skulduggery.

The Old Testament was the better with the New Testament a poor sequel to be honest. Has it's moments but does not have the Dallasesque proportions of the Old Testament.

Quite frankly, I could not put it down the first time I read it and when you read it over and over you always glean something new and interesting.

I defy anyone to come up with a better read and bear in mind the Bible was written over 200 years ago, long before Lady Chatterley's Lover.

    The Shining by Stephen King.

Good versus Evil. And it has the Walking Dude who is much cooler than Jesus.

Just one of many diluted derivatives of the quintessential fictional extravaganza that is the Bible.

Yeah, I think they should have kept the whole God thing secret for a while longer, like, these plagues keep happening, and people get burned alive, and then the creepy possessed people (Israelites) start chanting weird things and killing people who are different, build up the tension for a few Books, and then God can reveal himself in a suitably spectacular way. Having him around from the first sentence, and telling us his name ruins it a little. 6/10.

<laugh> I merely meant you'd lived a storied life. You've taken my comment at face value and failed to garner the subtext.

You're still a tedious auld kiddy fiddling piss-flap though.

Don't forget incest. That lucky bastard Lot was effectively date-raped by his daughters.

    Worth a shot.

I've not been offshore since the first week in April and not due away until 7th July. I've only got 3 more trips booked and that's me done with offshore. Won't miss it one bit, this new number is pretty cushy so far.
