The fastest one-stop strategy goes as follows: start on the medium, change to the hard on lap 25 and then run to the end. Equally as fast could be to start on the hard tyre, with a change to the medium on lap 28 and then run to the end.

Vettel still have to be careful running those 28 laps at the end on the hards though. 25 at the start will lose some performance after a while with heavy fuel...and if he then changes to hard and there is rain before he gets back to the front he might find himself in a bit of bother with the guys who ran on hards first...I don't know if you get my point.

Who knows. Alonso might very well pit first and Massa might just bin his car just before Vettel pits on lap 25. Then safety car comes out and Vettel gets in a spot....don't put that beyond Ferrari...lol
Ferrari is out to win this at any costs. See how many of their top wigs are at monza? They aren't there for nothing...Massa will bring out a safety car at some point... I believe he an Vettel might tangle going for the first corner...remember Ferrari is like lightning off the line....watch out!

Oh...and that will earn him another year at Ferrari if he plays it well..lol

Which is ironic given that Vettel hasn't been on pole much this season <laugh>

Incidentally, in the whole Ferrari kerfuffle / Hulk praising / general incompetence a lot of people, the BBC included, missed that today was Red Bull's 50th and Vettel's 40th pole position (or possibly his 40th for them). Which are both achievements that should have been praised a bit more than they were!

Force India
Adrian Sutil (14th - starts 17th after penalty, Q2 - 1m 24.932s)
“A tough qualifying today. We made some changes overnight, but they didn’t really show much improvement during final practice, which was strange. So there was not much we could do ahead of qualifying apart from change a few more things to try and help the balance. The car felt a bit better for qualifying, but we are still too far away from where we should be. My lap in Q2 was not too bad and P14 was the maximum today. Scoring points tomorrow is our aim and although it’s a difficult task, we will do our best.

Heck...yeah. My lap in Q2 wasn't bad at all....I totally pissed up the guy who refused to lie for me in court...and he said he was my friend.. Heck yeah. That was my best Q2<badger>

I know! I was questioning myself, considering Hammy has been on pole for the last 6 or so races. But as you say 40 pole positions in the time he has been in the sport makes it very unsurprising for him to be on pole

Face the facts what ever the weather Vettel is going to **** over everybody if he keeps Webber and Hulk behind into turn 3. Vettel is the next king of Monza and I expect he will (after tomorrow) have 1 hand on the WDC trophy.

Yeah Alonso will likely get on the podium, but we then walk into Vettel's back yard for the next 5-6 races

Even if that is the case... it's still advantage to everybody ahead. Whatever the weather, I think it's going to be Vettel making a monkey of Ferrari in their own back yard.

I have got to stop using Google Weather... it's the equivalent of the Daily Mail, it sensationalises everything!

Rain is still expected overnight but as for the race, it's now changed its forecast from a 50% chance of rain at 14:00 to a 30% chance of rain from 07:30 through to 15:30.

Basically, it's unlikely to be anything more than a quick shower.

ARGH.

Not if they just changed to their second set of tyres and in traffic then rain comes...one or two on the hard will move to the front hopefully when they pit. Then rain...ones at front pit for wet tyres first and anything can happen....I know...just wishful thinking..but it could happen right?ll<rofl>

Vettel will always be the last in the pits, excluding the prime runners. So I doubt vettel will be caught out when the guy sticks his own hand out of the car to check the weather.
