Well you must have been watching a different guy from me then? Because on his day he's a great Premiership striker. The only reason he get's all the stick he does is because of his self confidence which i'm sorry is a good thing, look at Joey Barton, also due to the fact Arsenal play a quick passing game through the middle, or out to the wingers who instead of crossing, pass it back across the box. It's not his style of play so how do you expect him to shine in that Arsenal team with no real run of games and not playing a style that suits him, you just need to look at Chamakh who was brilliant at Boardeaux yet he doesn't suit Arsenals style so he's automatically a bad player!?

 

I think you'd find a high percentage of strikers have god-like arrogance, it's all part and parcel of being one. I can't speak to his skill level, because frankly, I don't even know how I feel about him?...I've seen him dominate in games, and other times miss absolute sitters.

But because of other factors like transfer fees and wages, I'll say no too. Put those aside, I actually do think he'd contribute more than some fear.

 

Chamakh who started well but was found out as being too lightweight for this league? He's tall but weak.

And Bendtner on his day is a great Premiership striker... his day being once every 15 games or so. He is lazy, not great in the air, greedy, incredibly slow, not really a great finisher either. He is so incredibly inconsistent it's unreal. Barton is confident in his ability, but only once he's already proven it on the pitch. Bendtner talks himself up based on what exactly? Scoring more than 10 league goals on one occasion?(11 for Birmingham in the Championship in 42 games).

Carroll's replacement shouldn't be an older, less consistent poor man's Carroll.

Edit: Chamakh hasn't been in Arsenal's team since Van Persie came back in January. He never really got a chance to settle to be fair to him. Still started well in Arsenal's team.

 

To be honest I like his confidence, I find it funny.

We're desperately in need of a striker but if he can't fit in at Arsenal he's hardly likely to fit in here.

 

THIS! I would like to see him here honest, don't know why he's got a lot of haters. Imagine him starting every game with good service i think he'd be class? Maybe It's just me and you Jacky?

Yes I would be big, strong and can hold the ball up. Nothing wrong in being confident. He is also proven in the league.

 

I wouldn't mind if we got him for a reasonable fee, but he's not one of my first choices to sign this summer.

As somebody mentioned, he's very inconsistent and looks like he can be as frustrating as Shola at times.

 

In answer to your question, the answer would be an emphatic ..............NO.

Shola scored the same as him this season, and Bendtners best ever Premiership season is worse than our Shola.

 

I would rather have DJ Campbell & C.Cole than Bendtner & Ameobi.

Bendtner is probably the sh*ttest striker to ever play for a top 4 club. He has a sh*t goals to game ratio.. PLAYING AT ARSENAL!

Even I could outscore him with service from Nasri, Fibreglass & Arshavin!

Not for me. Believes he is better than he is and with his dad bigging him up for 12 mil, you can understand his inflated opinion of himself but his football doesn't back him up.
