Manager cant even remember his passport and Bale on the bench for no other reason than hes Bale and something for the Macedonia manager to think about (LOL).

To me - only 1 choice - Tony Pulis.

1st job convince Ben Turner to play.

Pulis all the way. Need a manager that can get a job done with a limited set of players.

We have match winners, we just need to keep it solid and let them do their bit.

Having said that I'd rather have a raffle and let the winner have the job than let Coleman keep it. He's a ****ing joke.

Someone who knows about football and knows where his passport is.

Rules out Coleman on both counts.

Pulis would be a good shout. We may end up with a more limited approach to the game, but end up with better results.

Also need to look at the overall structure of managementof the game. A director of footbal maybe to look at how we start developing talent from an early age. It's the way the WRU are going.

    Something needs to change.

Ben Turner has already said he doesn't want to play for Wales because he thinks of himself as English, which is completely acceptable, I would rather players say that than play just to be an international player.

I think we should be looking abroad for managers. It's worked wonders for Ireland.

Pullis would be a good shout for sure! A manager with a direct approach is needed.

Pullis is a good shout if you want a Welshman in charge. He will plug the leaks in defence and make us hard to beat. Will he make us more attractive to watch? I think not but Coleman was a poor appointment in the first instance. Every time he opens his mouth I want to kick the screen, piss poor manager all round.

Thing with Pulis is that he has a direct style of play, where as our best players in Ramsey, Bale, Allen and Williams are all accustomed to playing in a possession formation. The only one out of our best players to benefit from a Pulis style of play would be Bellamy as he likes to make the run behind our defenders. Whereas for all Bale's pace, you rarely see him running on to a ball over the top, he normally uses his speed when running at the opposition with ball to feet.

With Pulis I think he would cater to the majority of the squad (crofts, vaughan, vokes and that lot) but not suit our best players - the ones who can make a difference.
A manager (not necessarily Coleman) who plays possession football would suit less players, but would be playing to the strenghts of our best. Which imo is the only way we will ever win anything.

I beg to differ gooner. We should never have has Toshack in the first place. He was ****ing useless like Coleman.

Unfortunately Pullis is the best of what is available because the Welsh FA is not going to splash the cash for anyone better.

I honestly think Toshack was starting to do a good job.It was his idea to get the FAW to employ an U21 coach and we were very unlucky not to qualify for the finals a few years ago.To me employing Pulis would be like when we employed Gould

The crux of the problem, and always will be, is that the Welsh FA don't seem fit for purpose. We are getting substandard performances from teams with world class players. Why? Because they are selecting the cheapest managers available. We have played safe for too lang. There needs to be a shake up at the top to create much needed ambition. There is the right level of talent available on the pitch for our nation to be performing far better than we currently are.

Southall was right years ago when he was Wales under-19 coach, but quit his post in November 2004, claiming he was treated with "a total lack of respect" and that the coaching was compromised because "...as always, it's about money."

I think it's time to be realistic and honest with ourselves. We will never win anything other than the odd game. Certainly not a qualifying group on the Euro or World stage. Going through in a runners up spot would be enough to provoke calls for another public holiday in Wales.

We simply do not have enough strength in depth available to mount a serious challenge at these levels. Having a handful of "star" players to call on would never be enough to cut it consistently at that level. The odd "upset" result is always possible in a group match, but that would have to happen far too often to get us over the line.

Having said that, the current team management of the national side reflects the FAW - totally innefective and lacking in forward thinking. Putting Coleman in charge was like appointing Jack Nicholson to run the asylum before his lobotomy.

    As a brief aside,

Favourite line from McMurphy in that film went something like - "I've had so much electrotherapy shock treatment, the next woman I shag will light up like a pinball machine".........<laugh>

i'd go for someone like meulensteen, we dont have alot of money, but i think there are plenty of young managers who would jump at the chance to see what they could do if they can get the big players turning up and playing.

macedonia suck, we should be beating teams like that. i know it means nothing for qualifying but seedings are huge, and we've missed the opportunity to climb them for next draw.

I'd like to see us stick to a fiery welsh man to motivate the players with proper welsh passion so for me defo Pulis would be a good choice. On the development side I have coached youth football for 3 years playing minis football to 11-aside for the second season this time around, Entered tourneys and festivals as well as loads of friendly matches. We are not the best side but have played some decent sides and do have some good players. How many times have I seen a scout or any type of football development official watching our players or games once? If you ask me we are not doing enough to recognise players at the very bottom a point proved in current football right now in that the most expensive player in the world lived in Whitchurch as a boy yet was picked up by Southampton.

    Just My opinion!!
