Who should we target on loan?

Every season we see teams successfully use the loan market while we do not, personally I think this is down to us essentially not being too fussed about who we target, the likes of Livermore for example I just dont think we scouted him before hand and just assumed he would add something to our team because he was from Spurs.

Well the latest player to be linked with us is Jordan Ibe, a 17 year old pacey left winger from Liverpool. Here's a video of him at youth level (he also scores a couple solo goals against us).

Also apparently Ryo Miyaichi might be going to a champ club, we should try get in on that if there is a possibility.

Miyaichi would be good, he's supposedly faster than Walcott! Seems to be really injury prone though...

Yea he's very quick, played for Bolton on loan when they were in the prem, don't think he did anything last season though. Still has a long way to go to get into the Arsenal setup but they paid a fair whack for him for his potential.

All we need is a winger. Not sure how he would fit into the team & the formation he would adopt, but I think Austin as DM, a 3 players midfield possibly Mowatt, Murphy & Mr Winger. This would leave us with Ross & maybe Poleon or Varney starting up front

Nah, we need to go back to having 2 natural wide men playing. I think it would be almost pointless just signing one winger unless we were going to play either Byram or Varney wide on one of the sides

BM has already spoken about the possibility of playing Byram on the wing. I suspect he doesn't intend him to be a classic winger, just a wide man.

To be fair, we played some of the best football of last season with Green on the right and Thomas on the left. Byram provides enough width from full back, it's just the fact we have no natural width down the left at all, Varney comes inside all the time

Interesting listening to our pundits summarising the farcical Ireland debacle last night. I think it was mentioned to Giles about Green playing for Ireland. He basically called him useless. Prob is at international level but I think he generally does a job for us. Although the present Leeds team has to be as good as our Irish outfit or god help us

Giles is right <ok> we surely can do better than Paul Green. I know he's a trier but that's really not enough

He doesn't have enough quality on the ball but I think he normally does a decent job when he plays. He's better than Norris/Brown/Pugh anyway, and every team needs a player or two like him.

Not sure you can compare Brown and Green. They fulfill different roles.

    I wouldn't mind another striker.

What's happening about Burke and Sharp? Weren't we linked with them the other day?

I think it's Burke & Hare we need - they could bodysnatch some of our dross.

Marc Albrighton and Sammy Ameobi are the two wingers I'd go for.

I'd love albrighton (I don't rate sammy ameobi to be honest) but I can't really believe he'd be available

Wont be Burke according to Birmingham manager. Theyve no intention of loaning him anyway and why should they.

Think Albrighton probably would be available, Villa don't seem to play with wingers these days. Problem would be wages and would he want to step down to the Championship, probably not.
