Just started to get back into posting mode and the computer crashed. I am blaming it on all the bad news. :(

Anything could happen here. He has said he wants prem football and Swansea ****ty could offer him this for a year. But how certain can he be that they will stay up, he is wise and will recognise that this will loose him the love of WFC fans and might not be the smartest move. If WBA or N'castle were to come in for the same amount then i can see him wanting that move. But not to SCFC.

Exactly... Watford have accepted the deal, Danny hasn't (yet)!! There's a high possibilty he's still on holiday so may not have even talked to Swansea yet and might dismiss the offer in the hope WBA or someone else comes in with a better prospect of staying up! the only problem is the board have shown their hand as to how much is acceptable for him....

As crazy as it sounds, and I'm not defending Baz here, but I wonder if Ashcroft has any decision making powers on player offers.... or if he would have put pressure on the board to accept. He knows little about football, sees a couple of bids turned down, and tells Baz to accept as he wants some of that money!!

I very much doubt it... but it is just a little surprising they have accepted so eary when they know at least 2 other clubs are interested, and the money has gone up half a million twice, in quick succession! We are either in trouble with our current boasrd, or there is extra pressure to sell!

The fact that we accepted the 3.5mill does offer a little comfort as it was not the lowest bid, and it does show that we wont just accept any old rubbish. But it does not mean that thats all we get, as DG could decline swansea and then WBA could add the 500k to sweeten things.

A small collaspe from Sri Lanka, from 393-3 to 476-9. 4 wickets for Finny - youngest English bowler to 50 wickets, beating Beefy bravo.gif
