You don't even attend the games! <doh>

If you think people should just turn up oblivious to what's going on, then you could well be Mike Ashley in disguise. <ok>

He literally banks on the Geordie public 'just turning up' whilst making no reinvestment.

Perhaps that wouldn't cause you a problem, if you actually attended the games, which you don't. There are many people who have to work very hard for their money and hate giving it to Ashley.

Surely even you can understand that?

Completely. Without the fans' raucous support, I'm not sure we'd have even beaten Fulham. But it's hand in hand - the effort went in on the pitch, and for that 90 mins or thereabouts the fans backed the team. But to say people aren't allowed to take offence at Mike, Joe, the hand-dipping, the self-promoting, the SportsDirect advertising, the stadium name-changing, and so on, is fcking nonsense. It's called freedom of speech.

I think it is good to see such differences in opinion, that's the staple of a health forum.
My personal opinion is that Ashley and Kinnear are bad for the club and should move one. I for one will not change that view at any point in the near future.
Reference Pardew I'll do what I always do, support the lads and judge him on performances, results and how he has a talented squad playing.
Any criticism (or praise) will be reserved for after the game.
Reference attendance at matches I firmly believe that you don't need to be a ST holder (I am btw) or attend every game to have an equal opinion to the rest of the fan base.
All our opinions are valid no matter where we live.
We're all in this together and ultimately we share one common goal.... the Toon going well.

Completely agree! I would never boo the team though I know many around me who did. I started going to matches in 1981. There was as much unrest amongst supporters then as there is now. (It's just that you didn't hear about it as much due to less media coverage and the WWW)

If you don't like people voicing opinions on forums, don't come on here! (Much the same as if you don't like the club being run the way it is, don't go to matches!!!)

I'm the same and I dont boo the team no matter what as I don't think it does any good.

Going back to the early 80's, I remember the unrest being a lot stronger then than now. Demonstrations against the board were common place before and after each game for a period. Just the media coverage wasn't what it is now. I didn't believe in boycotting the team then, same as now, but a massive number of fans did vote with their feet to the point that gates were dipping below 10,000 and down to 7,500 for one game in 82'. The only difference between then and now is the number of Season Ticket holders which wasn't particularly high back then, so fans just said f*** you and stopped going. Did it bring change, some will argue it did, but who knows.

Something like that wouldn't happen in these times, as majority of ST holders like myself will still go.

Opinions on a forum are just opinions, simple as, whichever stance you take. Personally, I don't like people suggesting to me that i should boycott games, never have and never will, but I have no problem with anyone saying it.

What makes you think i don't attend the games. You don't know me. I have went man and boy since 66. I have had 2 season tickets for as long as can remember. I work away and don't get to use the tickets all the time and someone else gets them for free. Until the season before last anyway. After the 4-4 with Arsenal and i had a letter from the club complaining about me and would not retract the ****e, So i binned them. I go to every match when i am home regardless of the opposition. What on earth do you mean? "even me" you ignorant tit. You have shown what a pillock you are long enough. As far as i'm concerned, support the team, do not get embroiled in what you and the rest of the naysayers cannot change. It does not matter to the fat controller what you say. Get behind the team. Don't make excuses why you don't go to the match. If you do go, don't boo.
By all means demonstrate outside the ground anytime you feel like it. Not whilst inside though.

    "I don't care about Ashley,
    He don't care about me
    All I care about
    Is N U F C
    (clapclapclap)"

makes the distinction nicely between supporting the team and criticising the hierarchy

I certainly don't condone what the fat git has done or what he stands for. Dickhead. But i do support my team when i attend the match. I do not stand there like the thick plonkers you are and boycout. Hah. Shout and boo all the time and give negative vibes to the players. If you even go that is. Hey man just think for yourselves and stop joining in with what you think is fashionable and cool. It isn't. You are just thick. Probably with a skinhead and sticky out ears. Shellsuit. etc.

Doesn't seem like this fella is saying you can't have an opinion or be disgruntled but that it's been much worse and the Internet has caused the current situation to seem worse. Which is largely true.

    Just curious.
But why would a Swansea fan want to get involved in this thread.

    Come on the Bluebirds......

If you do attend the games then please accept my apology. I was sure that I read somewhere that you didn't go... my mistake.

However, it doesn't alter the stance that you're taking. Suggesting.. nay telling people that they shouldn't display their displeasure is a steaming pile of Ashley-esque pontification. Ashley has been here since 2008 and has done nothing but self-publicise his ****ty Sports Direct logo everywhere, humiliate club legends, alienate the fans and not spend any money.

Perhaps that's your idea of a footballing utopia but it certainly isn't mine.

His 'good business sense' has consisted purely of spending less than is brought in <doh> Any idiot could do that.
What makes a decent owner, is communicating with the fans, telling the truth and spending profits on keeping the best players at the club.

Quite how you think you have the right to tell people to keep quiet when they pump a small fortune into Newcastle United every season is beyond me.

I agree with all of your sentiments without reservation. I just do not think it's appropriate to vent the spleen during games in which the players we do have need our back up. As i said, outside is OK. Not during the game. I have been witness to some of the most greedy tossers god ever put breath into at NUFC. I don't need to name them. It was all of them. Some though, did attempt to buy their way to a success. But as we know, this one will try to scheme his way to profit at our expense. Monetarily and emotionally. We can only do what we do best. Support our team.

I don't think any one of us agrees with the way Ashley et al are running the club at the moment - however I fully endorse Genghis' comments about supporting the players/team once they're on the pitch.

Can anyone, honestly, remember an occasion where booing a player or creating a negative atmosphere in the ground resulted in an improved performance (either individually or collectively)?

I think ACS' signature sums it up pretty well - "Support the Team, Not the Regime" - maybe we should organise some T shirts?

Supporting the team is supporting the regime... It just is. You aren't giving money to the team, obviously, or we'd have been able to f***ing afford a player this summer. You're giving your hard earned to a fat prick who is taking the piss out of you and your loyal support. If you don't see any worthy merit in complaining about that, more fool you!

If Ashley swapped the entire team for chimpanzees on wages of a crate of bananas a week, I swear you'd still get people on here saying 'keep the faith', 'get behind the lads' and other tedious nonsense. Seriously, there comes a time when you have to engage your brain and not put up with any rubbish that's put before you just because it's part of your social life.

EVRYTHING IS ON THE LINE NOW. jk , Ashley , umm pardew . how close last season did we come to relegation with .

what is a no show in the summer transfer window once again ,,and under Ashley looks like it going to happen every year...

sorry but you cant run a pl club doing this .

now , we will see if there plan works ... if not its time to go, heads to roll and it will come at the cost of the club (relegation prob) .

look how much teams like southamton have spent ...30 odd million ... ambition to stay in the big league .. we generate much much more .

we aint got big wage earners we have a cap apparently ...
wheres the money going ...we are playing roulette and it looks like this from now on every season . ..we have to face it ...and that's fact.

we all know ..pretty depressing ..cant blame the players , but I think the best players will lack ambition aswell soon cause I would ... it spreads

but I agree don't take it oot on the team or players .. that's not right
