Relegation favourites this year. Had a decent 20-20 and 40 overs season. Odds on now to win the Championship (will be the third time in six years) Massive well done. (Surely thats not the kiss of doom)
try and get a decent sponsor next year and a decent oversea's star.

Been watching Durham since the minor counties days....its amazing what we have done in the short time since becoming a 1st class county. I play golf with a loud mouth Yorkshire guy on friday mornings..we have a little bet on the title winners this year..can't wait for tomorrow

It's a shame there aren't a few more there to watch them do it..Looks like only a handful of people watching when SSN are doing updates..

This is the problem with the 4 day games unfortunately - the Ashes was great and sold out all the time but the 4 day county champs is never sold out - I watched them win the title a couple of years ago againt Notts and there was so much space in the ground. It's the same country wide but what can you do when you have a 4 day game - only 2 of the days can be on guaranteed "non-working" days for most of us

the aussies have suggested day/night games to help those people who work or go to school come to games..good idea I reckon. Great win for Durham...

It's great to see Durham challenging for the title..Let's hope they can finish the job off in the remaining games..If I get the chance I will try and get to see them before the end of the season..
PS..Anyone know how young Scott Borthwick is doing for them? I went to school and played football with his dad George, and was pleased to see he was getting some praise earlier in the season, but I haven't heard much about him of late..

Awesome result. It's between us and the yorkies now.

Hope to get up and see a couple of days before the end of the season.

Hope it rubs off on the lads down-river!!!

Scott has not done a lot of bowling for us (leg spin) but he has been batting at 3 and has done excellent he has scored a lot of runs this year (including a couple of tons). Sky built him up as a leg spinner only and neglected his batting skills(they seem to get excited whenever a young spinner comes on the scene) but he is in effect an all rounder and from what I have seen recently looks a bloody good bat. I am sure that some of the chaps on here who get to more games will tell you more.
