What's that assumption based on? It's human arrogance to believe that there isn't another species out there capable of being more technologically advanced than us. A far more advanced species would understand that simply landing on Earth would cause mass hysteria, confusion and almost certainly a hostile reception. The universe is 99% empty, but it's also incredibly old, so who's to say that there weren't beings that were around long before the Earth was even formed? It's been scientifically proven that when we look at the stars in the night sky, we're seeing them as they were millions of years ago. Many of them aren't even there anymore. People often underestimate the timescale in which the Earth and the Universe were created; modern man (in an anthropological sense) has only really been around since 200,000 BC. Communicating with other beings that are far away is pointless; we haven't yet developed the technology to send messages (or anything else) faster than the speed of light. To say we'll never find life from another place while we live on Earth (we've got a couple of million years left here) isn't very fair. Ghosts is a weird one. I think most of it is suggestive thought; essentially scaring yourself to the point that you start seeing things you wouldn't expect, which then scares you further and drives the experience further. I do think that there's a part of the self that detaches after death; we're energy at the end of the day and that energy has to go somewhere. I think it has something to do with EME, but I'm not convinced that there are conscious echoes of the dead. If there were, why wouldn't we see caveman ghosts, or soldiers from the Norman conquest?
I am told there is a large colony of aliens living in Welwyn and Letchworth garden city. No one is supposed to know, they are apparently here disguised as humans to guide us as a race until we are ready to join the inter-galactic community.
It's not as daft as thinking that there is and they haven't bothered to make contact(and nutters claiming they were abducted don't count).
But then, why would they? I mean, if we were the ones introducing ourselves, we wouldn't just swing by and go 'hi, here we are. We're off now though, just thought we'd reveal our existence'. It makes absolutely no sense. It's about timing; at the minute, a lot of countries are getting pissed off for various reasons, so why would they want to come down and create more chaos, knowing that it would be detrimental to our society and possibly a danger to themselves? I don't doubt that they've already tried to make contact in the past; it's just unveiling it on a global scale would cause all kinds of problems. What if some creatures of high intelligence came down and proved with no doubt that there was no God? Many people would have an existensial crisis of faith; there'd be mass suicides and chaos would take over as people realised that the beliefs they held so dear were all a lie. Or what if they proved there was some kind of higher power? Billions would suddenly panic as they sought to take stock of their lives and again, chaos would ensue. With something as important as this, I think a tactical approach is needed from both sides if it's ever going to happen. It'll also create a power struggle between the newly arrived beings and the current world leaders; why would we follow the laws of our land when we know full well that we ultimately answer to a higher power? This will render any form of heirarchy meaningless and those who thought they had some sort of influence suddenly have none. People in power fear loss of power; the only thing they fear more than that is the fact that they'll never be as powerful as somebody else. And when it comes down to brass tacks, whose interests do you think they'll seek to further? I'm not a conspiracy theorist, I'm merely stating what I think would happen but if something were to have already happened, we (as joe public) would never hear about it. It could be happening right now and we'd never know.
10,000 years ago our ancestors were 'hunter-gatherers' and were all as black as Drogba's arsehole. They had lived that way for some 240,000 years. Previous to that they were cavemen for some 4 million years. Suddenly the Sumerians appear (9-10,000 years ago) and say they were educated, taught to read and write and new all about agriculture and architecture by the 'Shining Ones' - 'beings' that came from the heavens - and they wrote it all down in what is known as "The Sumerian Tablets' in approximately 8,000 BC. 6,500 years later, a bloke called Moses (1527BC - 1407BC) , wrote the book of Genesis which is word for word the same as the Sumerian Tablets of Creation written 6,500 years before. Around that time our DNA was genetically modified (by comparison to our 'hunter-gatherer' DNA) in nine of our chromosomes. This could only have been achieved under laboratory conditions. But surely there were no laboratories then were they? If there was then who the hell was operating them? How come that instead of just black people we also became white, red and yellow. Like someone else said, the truth is out there if you look for it. Some sort of 'beings' visited this planet and created the present day homo sapien. If you want to read a book read "The genius of the Few" by Christian and Barbara Joy O'Brien or "The Genesis Race" by Will Hart. Don't ridicule things because they seem unbelievable after all "God' took a handful of dirt and created a man didn't he?(!) The modern day King James Bible contains barely a third of what it was based on originally. Seek the rest and learn the truth. Should you choose not to believe then that is your prerogative.
Surely the arrogance is assuming aliens would see humans as the species to communicate with on this planet?
Of course we would. Have you not watched Star Trek? That's exactly what Jim Kirk did. Then he went off to shag a fit alien
UFO sightings are always explainable as I've said, other things aren't. I wasn't scared when I experienced what I did but whenever I see this kind of subject come up I like to put my theory forward of 'ghosts' being echoes of the past, I don't see how hard this is to believe given all the invisible signals we get these days powering technology, this stuff simply is not controlled by us like technology is.
I was going to say, did you copy and paste that from a book out of a discount bookstore then I saw the end of your comment. The best explanations are simple, not convoluted David Icke/ L Ron Hubbard type bollocks.
You missed off once upon a time at the beginning of that. I've read translations of the Sumerian tablets, and they don't support what you've put. The Romans edited the chapters of the Bible way before King James thought to have it translated. I'd suggest reading something like Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond to see where the rest of your post falls over.
I like the way you're so sure of the years of Moses' birth/death We don't even know for sure when the bloke named Jesus of Nazareth was born....
Odd how even though a lot of us don't believe in him, we still celebrate his birthday. Fine by me though, I love pigs in blankets.
There's no dispute over his historical existence - just the rest of it that goes with it. He was probably some Eastern Mediterranean version of Derren Brown.
God is just as much hocus pocus nonsense as UFO's. I have no issue with believing there's life in a universe somewhere, though I do believe that if there was and they were more advanced than us, we'd have heard from them by now. And I'm afraid that conspiracies about human evolution not being human evolution, but was actually engineered by aliens doesn't wash with me at all.
Perhaps you could enlighten us as to your own theories. 10,000 years ago the world population was BLACK so could you explain to me where the Asians came from, the American Indian and the white Caucasians? Our DNA shows that it has been genetically modified. There is life elsewhere in the Universe and we HAVE heard from them. They came here to EARTH and interfered with our hunter-gatherer ancestors DNA and created us. The Bible mentions this in various chapters. Haven't you read Genesis? Read genesis 6:4. You cannot start 'cherry-picking' the Bible by just believing in what you WANT to believe and ignoring what you DON'T want to believe simply because you don't understand it or cannot come to terms with it. What you have to ask yourself is this - IF beings, who appear to be eternal, came from another part of the galaxy and did these wonderful things to us, then WHO created them? This would mean that there could be a God a trillion billion times more powerful than even the staunchest believers believe in. Nobody is trying to ridicule anyone here but surely you cannot build a faith on a mere third of 'Gods' word, you have to look at the bigger picture and learn the truth.
Can you imagine how pissed off JC was when he found out his birthday was on Christmas Day? Mines in June so it works well but to have your birthday on Christmas just means less presents. What a bummer for JC.
