    Seriously hard decision.

    Gone for Neddo. Been immense.

Barton and Hill mentioned in dispatches.

Wouldn't that be an abuse of power mate? Whereas banning everyone who votes for Barton is perfectly acceptable.

This is exactly what would make me vote for Barton - if I hadn't already done so. SB, if you dont want people voting for Joey, don't list him. You have to accept the results of the poll though, even if your favourite doesn't win. That way lies Zimbabwe...

err, I'm having a laugh Willy, it is supremely unimportant to me who people vote for or why, even if they choose Barton. Surely it would be more offensive to leave him off the list altogether than a poking a bit of gentle fun at him and myself?

thankfully this isn't Zimbabwe, where I would be more concerned about the integrity of the process.

Anyway, a straight vote is much too simplistic for something as vital as Not 606 QPR Player of the Month. I'm going to make it much more complicated next time, and there will be certain criteria that posters need to meet in order to register to vote.

Me too.... Zimbabwe indeed - the fact there was a choice means that at worst, you're heading towards Russia... or the US!

I'd be willing to bet that he will get plenty of plaudits by the end of the year. Onouha didn't turn into a great player overnight all by himself. Watch Dunne playing. Simple simple simple.

Not one single vote though out of 70-odd cast? That is very surprising indeed.

    Not really.
Several others have played better. I gave it to the management team in recognition of the great work that has been done off the pitch. On the pitch, I personally think that Simpson has been out stand out player.
Can't understand all the votes for Barton. His attitude has been good, he is running the hard yards but his passing had been diabolical IMO. He gives the ball away far too much. Watched the matches against Bolton and Leeds again (quickly) and on average he misplaces one out of every three passes. I know I'm on my own here but I think he's one of the most overrated players EVER and I really can't see where he will fit into our team going forward.

Disagree RE Barton mate. He ran the show in both those games. Yes he gives bad passes but that's only because he's on the ball more than anyone else. I'd say his pass completion number is higher than anyone else's also.

Don't get me wrong, I thought he was well overrated in the PL too. But at this level there's few better.

The poll is open almost 48 hours now. At the moment, 73 people have voted.

At some stage we have to close the poll and declare a winner. How about we close it at 3pm GMT 5th September, ie. in 14 hours approx?

Chill out everyone...voting for Batono doesn't mean you have to have his babies (I voted Clinto...as I keep saying, vote now cause he will not have another run in the team, sufficient for him to win it again, imho)

But Barton in August has been a model professional, his quiet response to his goal not given, head down get on with it. Even down to transfer day and the "He's going to WHam" tweet...."No I am not mate!". Yes regardless of a few missed passes (remember Neds against Swindon! too, Clint has not been innocent in this aspect either)....Barton has run the show. He has been the heartbeat of the team. If I thought Clint would be in the running every month I would have voted Joey.....but hopefully Joey will run the show for the next 9 months

Yes I know he will blow up, and the clamour will return, leopards spots etc....but for the moment let us revel in smilry, happy Barton

Its a laugh Fingy, unless you are providing a Jereboam of champagne for the winner. Actually I'm interested to see how many people do vote, already much more than I expected.

There is a facility when you set up polls to put an automatic time limit on them, I'll use that next time, leave it open for 8 minutes or so.

We're a strange bunch aren't we? Unbeaten, top of the league, very positive transfer window and all we do is mither about a joke poll and still having Brazil's best keeper on our books. This is QPR.

Am I providing champagne for the winner, I can hardly afford the price of a pint for myself. 76 people have voted to date, that's really great and a good cross section of the posters on here and our fan base in general.

I thought we should put a time limit on the poll as there was a bit of bickering going on over who deserves to win. To me, whoever wins deserves it. Even if the margin of victory is only one vote. Like a lot of things in life, it is all a matter of opinion. In the future I think it would be a good idea to make the poll time bound. I would suggest for about for 5 days. Is that ok by everybody?

I'll just put this out there as an idea, maybe we can have a player of the year vote, we can all chip in and buy a trophy to present to the winning player and call it the Brixton Memorial trophy. We could call is the Not606 QPR, Brixton Memorial annual player of the year award. Is that a good/bad idea for everybody? What do you think Roller? Maybe we can discuss it when we meet on the 14th.
