......with the extra Sky money (+£60m) our annual turnover will be boosted considerably.... so if we are selling the club then a normal purchase price ratio will be 2-3 times annual turnover.....
If you apply that ratio to the extra money then we have £120m+added to our 'value'..... surely this wipes out the perceived 'loan' element of our value and makes the club MORE saleable not LESS saleable?
Looking at in another way.... if Fat Mike simply pockets the £60m per season for 13/14 and 14/15 then by my reckoning within 24 months he can walk away with his 'debt' fully paid.

I think the media are too hung up on our so called 'debt' and are forgetting that our value has risen year on year... plus our asset value on the pitch has risen and risen too.

Setting this aside what I am essentially saying is we are, right now an attractive proposition for a buyer and I hope to god one comes in fast.

you would honestly think we would be a billionaire's wet dream:
    Premiership club- Check
    Plenty of support- Check
A name recognizable across Europe and more- Check
    Last owners failed dismally- Check
Fans disilussioned and crying out for change- Check
    Already running financially sound- Check
Here a billionaire has a chance to take a stable business and chuck your pocket money at it to bring adulation from the fans but also to boost the ego, as every EPL fan would be interested how the circus runs without a circus-grade owner.
I personally think Mike's crazy asking prices when he last tried to sell us, along with his reputation for making cubs pay a price higher than the estimate, means no one will be sniffing around until it's common knowledge he's broke even.
And even then he'll price us out of a sale, as he's making plenty off us and doesn't mind the hatred. After all, it's been five years (of out and out hatred) and he doesn't seem to give one iota about pleasing us

Most we have is two years left. Patience, change is coming.

<Ok> Only then will we truly appreciate the full potential of Willo & Obertan. Their problem is the lack of quality around them.

Why do people think he will sell in two years if, and lets be honest we're guessing alot of the figures involved here, he has then broken even.

If I lose money on an investment and then start making money year on year surely once I'm back in the black I enjoy reaping the benefits? So long as the club is kept above relegation for the minimal outlay and the fans keep coming then we're a cash-cow and there's little the fans can do about it really. Add-in the hope he must surely have that we can generally make a profit in the transfer market as our ambition will be to survive whilst putting players in the shop window and I can see him hanging around - he's probably ruing not having sold Tiote back when he looked ace, a learning curve...

I'd love to believe that Ashley is going to sell-up, but I honestly just think he's hanging us out to dry.

    Ah, misunderstood, sorry.

I thought you were saying that the club had been a billionaire's dream when Ashley bought it. On re-reading you're obviously saying that it would be a billionaires dream if Ashley were to sell it. On that basis your comments seem pretty much spot on.

yeh, especially when you think last year we only signed one first-teamer over the summer as well.
when he opened up his wallet in jan we were looking like a relegated team, that money spent was nothing up to the TV money gained from staying in the prem
I'd love to have some hope that we'll be bought out, but the cynic in me refuses to believe.

If 100,000 fans were to stump up £1250 each we would have a war chest of £125m... throw in a bit of local business investment... ant and Dec's money... and you could buy the bulk of the club from Ashley... allowing him to retain a small stake.

If it meant getting him out of the club I'd stump up that... of even £2500 if it were an investment..
