I'd say it is nowhere near almost as bad as when United fans had to wait how long for a title and a go in Europe. It's CL or nothing for me personally.

Nope but there were some dreadful teams in it. Truly dreadful teams. We were bad though. You dont get relegated by being good for instance and we got relegated.
Yes but what about when you were good enough to qualify, surely you got to loads of finals against all those dreadful teams?

Not sure but i think we qualified about 7 times. Something like that anyway. 7 times for Uefa Cup, not once for EC. Its the only major title we have not won coincidently and I suspect we will never win it. This is about the EC and CL btw.
I gotta say too that those old teams had more allowance to get physical too, todays players cannot be touched back then they could kick the crap outa you, that is a massive difference
This may come as a surprise but seeing as we are the current champions, spent less than everyone around us last summer and won the league by a mile in the end we are most certainly the team to beat. Make no mistake we will be better next season.

No it means the english league was harder to win than the irish league. Finishing 19th was harder than winning the irish league.
You have tried (poorly) to argue that the old style champions cup was easier because of the poor opposition, if this was true utd should have done well whenever they qualified for any euro comp. Between the three european comps (you obviously qualified a few times for them all pre 92) you should have won or at least got to the finals many times for your argument to hold any water. The fact is you didn't, therefore your argument of the Champions cup being easier because of poor opposition is null and void.
