The article has only been out for an hour or so. Give the club a chance to respond. Just because they havent said anything yet doesnt mean they wont.
"Disgraceful crap". You could just say, "I don't think my club would do that". Rather than jump to conclusions.
Sky Sports Article I think the club needs to respond to this as they are clearly questioning our integrity. And before we all go jumping to conclusions, it should be remembered that the person who will be at the centre of all this is the same person who recently told a pack of lies to Hull City fans on Radio Humberside.
Apparently the bid was originally £6.5m, according to the Birmingham Mail. I'm definitely calling bullshit on it now. Brucey never had anywhere near that much. The Allams would have gone as high as £5m. Brucey isn't stupid enough to attempt something like this in the first place. Even if he's desperate.
We might not hear anything until tomorrow due to when they've released it. Make us look like we've been going all night apparently making up a response.
There is that factor. I dunno if I can trust Nick Thompson. If the Allam's don't respond in turn, he'll look pathetic, and there'll be trust issues with Bruce.
F u c k off you sh1tstirring Cnut. What the f u c k are you doing on this message board, it's got absolutely jack-sh1t to do with a Lesteristan fan.
Cant believe people are turning on our club over this. "Garlick said in a club statement: "Hull unexpectedly contacted us on Monday and tabled an acceptable offer for Shane. Given that every player has his price, we discussed it as a club. "We accepted Hull's offer in principle and gave them permission to speak to Shane, but the deal depended on many other factors - including a real reluctance to sell. "In a phone conversation with Shane's representative, I informed him that Shane was under no pressure to leave. We were definitely not trying to force him out. "Hull then informed us they could not finance the deal they had tabled and wanted to reduce it to a level that the club would never have accepted in the first place. "Given that Shane was not a player we were looking to sell, we ended all negotiations with Hull there and then. Calling bollocks right there. Unexpectedly called and made an offer that we couldnt afford. If thats the case we shoulda called Barca and £200 million for Messi
What we knew before this statement: The deal collapsed at 9:50 It depended on West Brom securing their business 9:50 seems an awfully early time to pull the plug on a deal in case you don't finalise your own transfers within the next hour and ten minutes. The official statements we've seen have said that the deal depended on West Brom completing their business first but nothing said that the reason the deal collapsed is because they feared they might not. I really can't see where anyone can find the confidence from to reject WBA's statement with such contempt. The Allams are renowned for saying one thing and doing another proved by the James Chester contract situation and the rebranding if nothing else. This sounds entirely something Assem Allam would try.
Oh god Another thread infested with leics posters stirring and showing they have no life outside here. And I don't really expect the club to respond. Just a matter of opinion rather than a lie. I can imagine Hull did ask to do the payments ina certain way and WB can now use that as an excuse. Language can be twisted to fit many sides if a story. It is totally irrelevant what is true. The deal collapsed. WB are going to put out as Much PR as they can to make their side look better. Anything we say is irrelevant really as it changes nothing. The lad was allowed here and ha a deal in place so WB can hardly suggest we diddled them over. Storm in a tea cup. We should just expect it and move on. Fighting for he clubs honour in his will just protracted a pointless argument further. And it will just provide more scope for the sad Leics no life's to come here and gloat. Which is really getting monotonous as it is every bloody thread I read. Spoils it.
Can I also point out another example very similar to this. The Gedo and Fathi loans in January. Allam sanctioned a deal both clubs agreed on, then paid the loan fee very late as the club couldn't afford to when it was supposed to. Very similar to WBA's accusation, just this time we asked to pay late rather than doing it anyway.
No matter what, City now have to respond or else we look dodgy even if West Brom are lying. They need to do it quickly and professionally, just don't let Allam near a microphone.
Nobody on here does move on though. We've had a few days since then and it's all been tarts whinging about West Brom, and calling Clarke a prick. It is tiresome, but surely this warrants a response.
