    :/

Baio (sp) is in there and has shown some promise. If only Plessis had built on that cracking game against, well, Arsenal all those years ago!!!

I wonder if Hash ever thought this thread would reach 40 (20 for Gerrez) pages when he made it <laugh>

Blast from the past! Yeah I remember thinking he'd be good for us. Just had a quick look and he plays for AC Arles-Avignon now who are in 2nd tier of French football but before then was on loan at Doncaster Rovers!

Nah missed that boat, maybe when he was at panthanikos but not now. Alou Diarra is another infamous one, brought in by Houllier, never played a game for us, went on to become French National Team captain and play for Lyon.

I can't believe no-one moved for Lassana Diarra this Summer apart from Lokomotiv Moscow. £10m for a quality DM who's 28? Not even a mention for any prem clubs?

    Pauletta? Pelligrino! <yikes>

I think for the prem, an Argentine DM would be what BR would prefer, technical ability and that steel. Gary Medel could have been good but not sure how old he is ( went to cardiff for 11 mil from Sevilla).

You had him at one point!! <laugh>

Agreed though and to move sideways, his career fell off after Real and even at Real don't think he was used properly.

Can't believe we got rid of him. Would have been a beast of DM partnership with him and Flamini... could have lasted for years.

He wanted out and made it clear that he didn't want to wait to fight for a place. It was a real shame because shortly after that Flamini ****ed off and we sold Gilberto too. Diarra could have had a great career at Arsenal
