I know it seems like a dumb question but by all accounts Benny akotto ( spelling, you know who he is!) is **** hot. all my spuds mates are fuming he left and say he's a fantastic left back. will Harry drop Clint or move him back in to the middle?
Dropped! we can't change the two in the middle. Ekkottu (whatever) might not go straight in, but when he does Clint will be a fantastic man to fill in when someone gets injured or suspended.
I like most fans think Hill has to be one of the most important players we have do to his attitude and love of the club. plus he has proven me wrong this year with the way he has played. he ha be reasonable solid at the back and set up and scored a goal. But he is no longer the best left back or centre back (not sure he ever was) at the club. i do believe that you should only be dropped if you have had a **** game. so to be honest i dont know. Harry will have a plan and thats why they pay him the big bucks
Exactly this. With injuries, suspensions and loss of form, there will be plenty of games for both Hill and Dunne.
I think Clint will play a lot, and will be surprised, and annoyed, if he is dropped after his last game. I hope "never change a winning team" is foremost in Harry's mind when he looks at his team for our next league game and that he brings in the new signings gradually.
We've got three senior centre-halves with about two good knees between them so I expect him to play plenty of games. Ehmer will likely get a few too.
My guess is he will start vs Birmingham and it will depend on how that game goes. I'm sure Benny will get his debut next Sat after an our or so. Both Hill and Dunne need to be managed carefully but Harry. Both need to be kept fit as both will be needed with suspensions and injuries. I would imagine that Harry has spoke to both of them and i would imagine at their age they would be happy with 30 ish games this season. I'd like to see Ehmer at some stage to see just how good he is. I'm interested to see what happens to Traore and Cesar. Will they get in our squads at all? Surely better to have Cesar on the bench than sitting in the stands.
I am not a fan of rotating the back four. We need solid understanding at the back a often as possible. Only bring Hill into the CB pairing if there is an injury or suspension. If BAE is as good as everyone is saying, and he is at the required fitness level, he will be in the team very soon. This will give us good balance at the back and good support for Phillips and Hoillet to drive forward.
I agree, a good manager would have already spoken to both of them and said as much, emphasising how important they are to keep fit blah blah, so they need to be realistic and not expect to play every game to preserve themselves.
I wouldn't worry, highly likely Dunne will knacker himself in training for Ireland over the next few days. Do we have anyone else on international duty? Hoilett for Canada? Cesar for Brazil? Carroll England U21's? Traore for Senegal? Benny for Cameroon?
I know, its so obvious that Im worried he will stick with a 442 and we will run out of strikers in a month!
Ehmer and Harriman have been around for quite a while now with various loan spells under their belts, I just don't see them breaking through into the first team properly which would maybe suggest they aren't quite good enough? I've not seen enough to know though.
