Minimum 15 minutes league game time to qualify. Bad luck for Cocko and Mo-o.

It's Clintoninho for me. He has been the difference between us having 13 points as opposed to 9 in the last two away games.

Thanks for setting up the poll SB. I think we should have a vote every month from now on.

    I voted for Ned.

Hoillett for me - the change from last season is amazing and he could have milked his niggling injuries but hasn't.

I is with great regret that i have to say Barton.

Clint has been brilliant but got caught a couple of times. Only one close is Onuha IMO

Can i just refuse to vote instead?!

That's fine, you'll have to remind me to do it. I may incorporate 2 rounds - the first being 'guess the player' from ever more obscure nicknames I think up for them.

Posters should also be aware that the maximum number of choices in any poll is 15, so if we get through a few players in any given month it may be that not all will feature on the voting list. For simplicity's sake I will be the sole and final arbiter on who is included in the poll. Can you see where I'm going with this?

You are in Australia, where I understand its compulsory to vote. You can however spoil your ballot paper.

It was a close call, almost everyone in the team would deserve it. Onuoha/Hill/Simpson/Dunne have played really well together, solid defence. Barton/Hoillett/SWP have been great in midfield and AJ's work rate and 2 goals could pinch it too. But in the end had to go with Green, he's been almost faultless, and kept us level with his saves in games against Bolton and Leeds. Had great moments against Huddersfield and Weds too. Can't comment on Ipswich game, had only radio to listen to, so don't know too much what went on.

JB for me. I know people say that 'he ought to be great in this league', but the thing is - he has been. And he's kept his cool under some pretty strong tackles, and he's worked hard for the team, and so far this year has been the player we all hoped would pull on the hooped shirt when he first signed.

Honorary mentions to Green / Hill / AJ from me as well...

Barton clear MOM for me. Has been the driving force in the team. Clint a good No 2.

I agree with a lot of the rationale behind other posters choices, but I feel Simpson has been vital in the team's overall performance. Getting quite excited about our prospects now.

In keeping with Stans suggested terminology I voted for B'Astardo as he has been the most influential player for us during the last month and we now have someone who can actually take a free kick/corner and clear the first bloody defender!!!!

Kudos to Barton, Johnson, Nedum and Green but we'd be 4 points worse off without Hill, played well at CB and LB in fact had his best two games at LB.

Isn't it great to have several worthy candidates to choose from and to really have to think about this important decision? Honourable mentions to Greeno, Dunno, Neddo, Junior and Clintontinho but Bartonioli does it for me.

Great, 65 votes, time to close the poll with Clinto the winner by a nose.

Roller/Nines, could you lock the thread before the result goes wrong? Cheers
