The OP is a wind -up, but even if it were true, I don't understand why everyone gets so het up about this. It would be nice if some talented street kid from Uruguay felt a deep undying loyalty to a club 7000 miles away because of the support he got from them when he was being a tit- but can you really expect it from him? He fancied going to Real so he let it be known- from thereon the media circus did the only thing they know how to do well and whipped a fart up into a hurricane. So Suarez is a selfish prick? No big surprise there, so why be so offended by it? He's paid to play football and as long as he gives his all on the pitch, who cares whether he loves us or not and what platitudes he's advised to come out with by the damage limitation people? In 10 years he'll be long gone and who'll care if he's remembered as a loyal club legend or as someone who got us a ****load of goals when we needed them. Plus a ****load of dosh when we sell him. I think we should stop acting like jilted lovers and realise this is a pragmatic, mutually beneficial relationship.

I know it's only a joke, hence my first sentence and post #9. My point was that even when people know it's not real, they still react to it as though it were. Just as half the stuff Suarez is supposed to have said and done is just media fabrication, fans still act as though it were genuine.
