I'm still feeling confident about the season.

    And no, I'm not drunk!

Sandy, you're not going to UPSET anyone with talk like that.

I just wish I had the same feeling.

We won't go down so I'm cool

By this time next year our club scouts will have had 2 more windows to peddle the dross and bring in better players.

I'm loving it and can't wait for Arsenal.

There'll be some big platefuls of humble pie for some people to swallow.

    Pretty much this

If we lose vs Arsenal there will be a lot of doom though so avoiding a defeat to settle some anxious fans is key imo

I said the same thing yesterday mate. I'm pretty pleased.

Could it have gone better? Yes. Could it have gone worse? Yes.

    We'll live.

If the pie is served up I will relish its taste. Nobody wants this to project to fail but those who think it could shouldn't be castigated for holding that view just as those who think all is well shouldn't.

I have some massive reservations about the PDC style of management by media and what that may well bring but to be wrong would be wonderful.

I always go into new seasons confident.

It's quite clear PDC has a vision for our future, I just hope he gets the backing from the guys up stairs and the lads in the stands!
I like the noises PDC makes, I like that he wears his heart on his sleeve, I like that if he sees the same as us happening on the pitch he isn't afraid to say it.

Bruce was clueless and blamed us.
MON looked to have lost interest sadly.

With PDC I'm a happy camper, looking forward to the coming ups and downs.

If PDC makes decisions I disagree with I will still have a pop at him.
If players play **** I'm going to say they played ****.
If I have concerns about any incoming players I will still voice them.

Voicing your opinion doesn't make you a bad supporter, even if your opinion is ****. :p
Opinions are like brains, everyone has one but there's no guarantee it's right.

Plus it would be boring as **** on here if we all agreed all the time.

I have to say that there are quite a few of us out here who would count Sunderland as friends who are a bit fearful about PDC.I do sincerely hope that our fears are groundless and that you will be ok.Just that he is such a loose cannon.

Cheers for the concern but we'll be fine.

He comes across as crazy but he is aware of what a massive opportunity this is for him. He won't be stupid enough to ruin that

Spot on MR. My only concern is our horrendous run of fixtures, if we can't get a few points on the board pretty soon then I fear the crowds will turn against PDC and once the rot sets in, it's difficult to shake off.

Due to work commitments, I've only seen one game so far this season but I saw enough in that one game to see a massive improvement in our playing style over last season's boring dross served up by MON.

I'll guarantee that every single Sunderland supporter thinks it could fail ...... different people just represent those fears in different ways.

I don`t see it as a concern tbh. Those fixtures haven`t changed. Whatever our squad happened to be they were still going to be there and still have to be played.

imo we are better equipped now to nick a few points whereas last season we wouldn`t have stood a chance.

I want to see what the new lads can do. We are still fielding half the old squad. Get the buggers on the pitch & let them loose. If we don`t know what they can do then the opposition can`t.

Absolutely no offence to you mate but FFS I'm sick of hearing about our fixtures!

5 of our next 7 games at home, in league & cup, and playing Liverpool & Newcastle at home who we can beat.
There's also Arsenal who we've done well against at home.
Swansea ........... when did they become unbeatable, didn't they recently get hammered at home?

Sorry but I can't go along with this 'horrendous fixtures' ****e any more.

    Like I say, no offence.

So unless we all express those fears and concerns in a way you approve of, our opinions are unwelcome.

That's a real positive move forward then for open debate and football crack?
