Has to be Hill for me, a goal and a great assist.

HM to Onuoha who Im glad everyone has noticed because he goes about his job quietly but very effectively and Hoilett.

I've just had an appraisal at work and it was noted that I too go about my job quietly, but very effectively and Hoilett. I was pleased with that.... I think.

In all seriousness and I know he hasn't scored in league yet but Austin doesn't get the plaudits he deserves for his work rate and I think he has slotted in well.

    Should do a poll mate.

    My shortlist would be:

    Any of the back 5
    Hoilett
    Barton
    AJ
    :)

I agree, we should do a poll.

Will somebody set one up, please.

Good call Nuts - I'd like to know how much effect he has had. I think he is a better coach than he is given credit for, he coached united in their pomp and yet the Sun calling him the Wally with the Brolly seems to count for more.

Has to be my Championship winners scarf. Amazingly we haven't conceded a single goal when I have had it round my neck during games played so far. Remembered to put it on when 1 - nil down against SheffWeds and Huddersfield, and completely forgot the Swindon cup game :emoticon-0106-cryin

Tough choice but Hill for me (Still can't believe in the off season there was a thread slagging him). Most of the players in joint second.

I'd give it to Hill too, with mentions to Onuoha and Barton.

Has to be Barton for me. He has been the main driving force in the team. Clint homourable mention.

Clint Hill for me. A crucial goal and an assist, he's been outstanding.

As many have said earlier, he's played out of natural position, although you wouldn't know it. At times he's looked better going forward than SWP!

With these new signings people are still writing Hill off. Don't be surprised if he plays more games than he sits out this year. A real inspiration.

Good idea. I'd go for Hill. Still defying the odds and leading by example.

I'd go Barton as well, mostly for his passing but also for not being the total liability and nut job he could have been.

Someone who knows how should start a player of the month poll each month,

May be a donkey of the month as well, although this board could probably do without the negative thread... we seem do alright on this score.

That was great for Clint, but Barton also deserved his disallowed goal in the same game.
